Namco Bandai kondigde onlangs aan dat ze werken aan Beautiful Katamari Damacy, het vierde deel in de Katamari serie. Er is echter onduidelijkheid ontstaan van de consoles waarop het spel verschijnt.

Origineel moest de game op Xbox 360 en PlayStation 3 verschijnen, maar nu maakt Famitsu bekend dat de game op de Wii en de Xbox 360 verschijnt. De PlayStation 3 versie verschijnt niet meer volgens hen.

Holy shit Ninja Gaiden Sigma is gewoon te vet voor woorden maar ook echt fucking moeilijk!! Zit nu in chapter 4, en wat is die baas op chapter2 kut zeg als je hem voor het eerst doet, dacht echt bij mij zelf na 3 keer dood te zijn geweest krijg de ty%&! ik ga hem op easy spelen, maar toch maar niet gedaan. Vergis je trouwens niet op de ''little'' ninja's want die zijn ook rete sterk, het kan zo gedaan met je zijn. Schrijf dit trouwens vanaf me ps3 hmm en nu slapen morgen na werk (bijbaantje) verder.

Okay, hieronder even mijn bevindingen over Home. In het Engels en ik heb er wat stukken uitgehaald omdat het voor wat andere Home Beta mensen was, dus excuses op voorhand voor de wat vage opbouw.

I added a couple of you to my PSN friends list and jumped into Home. I played it for a couple of hours now and my feelings on it are quite mixed. I like the general design of Home, the organic shapes and the soft colors in the menus; they definitely got a plus there, but for me that is the only positive thing when it comes to the main menu design. The user interface is a small nightmare on its own. Sure, it might look friendly but it is too cumbersome and is more a matter of style over substance. And why isn’t it always possible to change the view on my head or body in 3D while building my avatar?

Another thing that strikes me as odd is the use of the PlayStation Portable as the device from where you can control a lot of options. Product placement galore, that’s fine for me, but in a situation where you have lots of options everywhere I don´t think XMB is the most efficient method for navigation. It’s basically the same problem I have with my PS3; I have tons of videos and photo’s stored on my PS3´s hard drive but it’s difficult to keep everything organized in a nice way once you have over 50 files in a folder.

What I did like is the fact that by pressing the select-button I can have full access to my friends list. We can only hope that this feature will be common on all games once the new 2.0 firmware comes around, but seeing it in Home is a welcome surprise. I tried to design an avatar that looks as close as possible to me but I really miss all the options that you have for example with Game Face for Tiger Woods (or Mob Face for The Godfather for that matter). On a side note I also have to say that I liked the female avatars, just for the reason that they have normal body proportions and for the fact that Sony didn’t go for the ´hypersexy´-route which is all too common in the game industry nowadays.

After that I popped into the virtual space and had some small talks with people by using the virtual keyboard. That really sucked. So today I went to the store to buy a USB keyboard for this. I also wanted to buy a Bluetooth headset but after hearing stories of not all of them working correctly with the PS3 I decided to hold off on buying that (free advice for Sony: talk with Logitech for adding ´Compatible with PS3´-tags on their headsets) and got back. I talked a bit with a chap from the UK who told me that Home is quite empty now, but when the Beta just launched it was quite busy. That doesn´t surprise me, because there isn’t that much to do in Home at all right now. I tried to design my own apartment, but with the current menu it is far too annoying for me. There aren’t that many items to use, I can not use my own designs right now and I really miss a simple design system like the one that is used in The Sims. Just like GameFace it is something that has been tried and tested in games years ago, and apparently it hasn’t been picked up and improved on by other companies.

I also walked around a bit in the game and movie areas. I really like the arcade games that you can play. It´s weird that you now basically have two separate sections on your PS3 system where you can play small games (the ones from the PlayStation Store, and the ones in Home), but overall it´s really good. You can also play some pool and do some bowling with other people which might be nice for some people but for me that’s really boring. Just keep those small arcade games coming for free and I’m a pretty happy guy. The movie area is really nicely designed; it looks like a massive theater, only to let me down by showing low resolution trailers and giving me a small hope that I could watch full movies there, which was not the case. There are only some movie and game trailers there to see, and once downloaded you can’t even save them to your hard drive so for the time being I will stay away from that. One thing that really bothered me while walking around is the lack of a run-button. My avatar runs slow as hell and for me that’s one of the most annoying things whilst being in a virtual space, whether it be Liberty City, Hyrule or in this case; Home.

Overall I might sound quite negative about Home, and to be honest I am not too impressed with it right now. I do see a lot of potential however, and I really hope Sony takes note on our feedback.

Ik heb er ongeveer 20 uur over gedaan , vond ik toch wel lang genoeg dunkt mij

Dat ik nu 4 dagen x 5 uur achter elkaar speel , kan ik ook niks aan doen

Lol, ik had toen Metal Gear Solid 3 uitkwam het spel in 15 uur uitgespeeld ofzo. Puur nonstop spelen, zonder pauze, ook eten tijdens het gamen enzo. Daarvoor ook amper geslapen. Op het eind heb je al die mindfucks waarbij Campbell vage dingen tegen je gaat zeggen en dat je beelden uit de NES versie ziet enzo. Ik dacht serieus dat ik het spoor kwijtraakte ofzo

Vandaag trouwens maar een Bluetooth headset gekocht, ik was in de FNAC (multimedia winkelketen hier in Spanje, bestaat volgens mij ook in Belgie en Frankrijk) en daar zag ik zowaar Madcatz PS3 Bluetooth headsets liggen. Meegenomen en hij werkt perfect in Home.

Tja... we kunnen niet allemaal slecht zijn in bepaalde spellen he

3 dagen geleden Ninja Gaiden gekocht, ben ondertussen bij chapter 7 en heb ongeveer 15 uur gespeeld, als ik het goed heb, en als ik voor mijn aankoop wist wat ik nu weet, had ik makkelijk nog 2x zo veel voor het spel betaald.

Ninja Gaiden is gewoon een hack-n-slash game, maar hoe mooi is het met PS3 graphics, en hoe tof is het uitgewerkt! De gevechten zijn echt zwaar vet; de combos die je kunt maken en de verschillende wapens die je in verschillende situaties kunt gebruikt maken het echt puur genieten om weer een groepje bad-guys tegen te komen. Ik ben dan ook vaker uit een area gelopen om vervolgens weer terug te gaan en de respawn ook nog even om te leggen.

Ninja Gaiden is, zoals wel duidelijk mag zijn, inderdaad erg vet, maar toch zijn er een hoop flaws in het spel die verbeter kunnen worden. Het wordt bijvoorbeeld best irritant dat er heel veel lage muurtjes zijn waar je niet overheen komt, trappen met onzichtbare muren er voor of steegjes met hetzelfde probleem.
Ook is het nogal maf dat je, als ninja zijnde die oneindig hoog kan komen door backflips tegen muren te maken, je niet over een simpel hekwerkje heen kunt klimmen.
Kortom, er zijn gewoon te veel gebieden waar je niet kunt komen.

Wat dan wel weer erg tof is is dat je door het spel uit te spelen nieuwe moeilijkheidsgraden unlockt, evenals een hele nieuwe spelmodus: missies. En als je kijkt naar het feit dat het spel al best lastig is op normal, zal er genoeg frustratie ontstaan om Ninja Gaiden en gaat er vast menig controller om kapot gegooid worden. Want geloof me, 10 keer tegen dezelfde baas moeten vechten gaat op je zenuwen werken, zelfs bij mij.
Door deze moeilijkheidsgraad en het "unlock-principe" heeft Ninja Gaiden velen en velen speeluurtjes, en is hij het geld dan ook dubbel en dwars waard.

Trouwens, nog een ideetje voor de volgende Ninja Gaiden: Online arena modus o.i.d. Hoe tof moet het zijn om 1v1 of meerVSmeer online te vechten in een arena?

Totdat Assassin's Creed , PES6, Tekken 6, GTA4 en uitkomen is Ninja Gaiden absoluut mijn favoriete spel.
