Nog maar een keer mijn vraag hier, ik heb gezocht, maar kon niets vinden. Heeft iemand nog een filmpje van de flexende ferrari voorvleugel?

Terugblik Deel 3: F1-seizoen 2008 - race 7 t/m 12

Het nieuwe Formule 1-seizoen nadert met rasse schreden, maar hoe verging het de coureurs vorig jaar? FOK! geeft een terugblik in vier delen op de gebeurtenissen van 2008. Vandaag deel 3: de zevende tot en met twaalfde race van het seizoen. Het vorige deel, Terugblik Deel 2: F1-seizoen 2008 - race 1 t/m 6, ging over eerste zes races.

hier een compilatie filmpje van 2006. Op 3.40 zie je heel duidelijk de ''pre''-bridgewing flexen. Naderhand hebben ze die mooie tunneltjes eromheen gemaakt wat het probleem ''oploste''

Former McLaren boss dies : The American Teddy Mayer, the former McLaren Formula One boss who won titles with Emerson Fittipaldi and James Hunt in the 1970s, has died at aged 73.

Gascoyne begins legal action : Former Force India technical boss Mike Gascoyne is taking legal action against the team over his dismissal at the end of last year. Autosport.com reports that Gascoyne is seeking over £2 million from Force India after his three-year deal was terminated 12 months early.

Renault test R29 again near Oxfordshire base : Renault have tested their 2009 car again at Kemble airport near Enstone, following reports that the car is seriously underperforming. Spanish newspapers AS and Marca report that although the car only went for a straightforward straight-line test, the team unusually brought five transporter trucks’ worth of equipment with them.

Testing ban to be reversed : The on-season testing ban agreement is about to be cancelled, according to test team personnel that attended last week's session in Algarve. With KERS giving a lot of trouble to all the teams, as the batteries lose performance quite quickly and are still far from being fully operative during an entire race distance, there are now moves for at least three test sessions to be held during the season, to help improve the reliability.

De FIA heeft een analyse gepubliceerd van de medailles als deze op vorige kampioenschappen werd toegepast. Hoewel ik een tegenstander ben van het medaillesysteem (omdat niet alleen overwinningen, maar ook consistentie moet gelden), wil ik jullie de resultaten niet onthouden.

De veranderingen ten opzichte van het huidige systeem.

1967 Jim Clark - instead of Denny Hulme
1977 Mario Andretti - instead of Niki Lauda

Ik sta nu voor een dilemma want ik vind de uitslagen (met uitzondering van 2008, maar dat komt door de FIA) beter recht doen aan de verhoudingen. Mansell was bijvoorbeeld in 1986 en 1987 de beste. Alleen hield domme pech (wie herinnert zich de klapband in Australië niet ) hem van die titels af.

Opvallend dat sinds de FIA afgestapt is van het systeem waarbij alleen de beste zoveel resultaten (meestal 11 iirc) meetelden voor het kampioenschap, alleen 2008 een andere kampioen opgeleverd zou hebben.

Met de huidige puntentelling maakt het dus alleen in zeer marginale gevallen wat uit. Dat vind ik een slechte reden om van een systeem af te stappen dat al sinds 1950 gebruikt wordt, namelijk dat de rijder met de meeste punten kampioen is. We hebben net twee van de spannendste kampioenschappen aller tijden gehad. Wat is daar mis mee? If it ain't broke, don't fix it.

Al had ik het Senna wel gegund om vier titels op rij te pakken

Gascoyne parted company with the team in November last year as team principal Vijay Mallya conducted a management reshuffle brought about by the outfit's switch to Mercedes-Benz engines.

Mallya said at the time: "Force India is my most difficult project to date and it has become clear that it requires more direct input from my side and greater performance accountability.

"We have come a long way this season, but we need more and that requires some radical reorganisation of the management structure to ensure the maximum productivity."

Ik herinner me dat niet, ik denk dat ik te druk was met m'n Lego
Ik vind het ook wel opvallend dat Schumacher al z'n 7 wereldtitels kan blijven houden!
