The army is acting as if the constitution were a holy book in a very surprising way seriously either this is huge maturity comparing what happened in 1952, of course we should not forget that with the exclusion of Mohamed Naguib the Free officers were in the age of these generals sons
The army generals that they have only been in rule for 9 days and that they need time as slow justice is better than injustice.
The referendum will be with our national id there is not a big surprise here
The parliamentary and presidential elections will be with our national id to put an end for the long time electoral fraud.
There will be complete judiciary supervision on the elections.
The Egyptians abroad will not be able to participate in the coming referendum.
The obstacle with the voting right of the Egyptians abroad is that each Egyptian embassy and consulate will be considered as a voting station thus it will need a judge on every ballot box. The generals will search the matter with laws and constitutional experts I think we should continue raising this issue so the council we know we are so serious about it.
Former president Mubarak does not rule from Sharm, there is no spot in Sharm El-Sheikh.
Omar Soliman is not staying at Orooba Palace which is currently closed , he is staying at his home I think his home is actually a palace at the ministers compound in New Cairo
The council will investigate that photo of Mubarak hanged at the Republican guards HQ.
We have to trust Ahmed Shafik as PM , it is not about swearing in front of Mubarak as they have all become generals in time of Mubarak.
The new cabinet will not be the one that will supervise
The state security cant be disbanded but it will be restructured.
More and more icons of corruptions will be arrested by time. The world was not made in 2 hours.
The political detainees will be released after carefully revising their cases taking in consideration people were used to be arrested for fake charges.
They do not and will rule Egypt and they will not have a presidential candidate.
The 6 months period is calculated by the time needed to have these amendments in the constitutions.
The Muslim brotherhood members are Egyptians like anyone Egyptian.
There will be no parties based on religion.
The CEOs and Chief in editors of official newspapers and magazines should resign if they have dignity.
The army generals do not like what Heikal said about the air strike of Mubarak !!
Mona El-Shazly , Wael Al Abrashi and also Shady El-Ghazli Harb were not on the same levels of the important guest. El-Shazly and Al Abrashi kept interpreting the generals in a silly way. Harb said two remarks I believe deserve separate posts.
There were many positive remarks about the episodes and the generals on twitter despite there are demands that Shafik to step down and the state security to be disbanded.

Dr. ElBaradei commented on the interview specifically on the part about the right to vote of Egyptians abroad slamming the generals.
No Democracy without the right to vote , our Nobel prize winner said as simple and direct as that. Already the right to vote of Egyptians aboard was among the 7 demands the NAC headed by ElBaradei were calling for.
The armed forces council met with 3 delegations from Youth , the journalists and editor in chiefs and op-ed writers in Egyptian press. I do not think they have met with the political parties yet.
Now to my personal opinion I trust these generals good intentions but the thing they must understand that our generation , my generation or at least me ,I have a trust issue. I know that they have got a responsibility no one wishes for and I understand that these generals real job is not politics but they seem to know what we suffer from and they seem to know how to solve it.
I am happy that these generals showed that they are not living in the army bases and they are not like these generals of 1960s or 1950s.
The army issued Msg No. 9 at the Facebook right after the show with the following:
The council currently rules the country and it does not take order from anybody.
The republican guards are from the units of the army and they are currently at their barracks.
Sharm El-Sheikh is like any other Egyptian city , it has no privileges.
The Presidential palace at Orooba is closed.
The council is monitoring the matter

I do not know if that the police officer or the driver but I think based on what I know it could be the police officer because he was saved from the angry people by the army while he was on its top. The people seemed to be hostile to that person in this video.
The police officer is alive unlike what was claimed earlier. It turned out that his name is Salah Ashraf El-Saginy and he is the son of infamous officer "Ashraf El-Saginy" who is known for his torture and human rights abuse record during the time of Hassan Al Alfy and Habib Al Adly. "You know what is said about the apple and the tree after all !!"

The last thing I got from twitter friends in Maadi that the youth are calling for a sit in at the Algiers square.The police officers have left their positions again and the Youth are currently organizing the traffic. There are protests currently , big protests in front of El-Saginy's house and as well the Sakr Qoraish police station.
Nothing justify this murder , it is a murder by all measure. I will not listen to any justification for any kind because a person was killed. The police force need rehabilitation with courses in anger management. We are waiting for the reaction of the minister of interior on this murder.
I think the police is not ready yet to face the public because honestly they have not admitted a crime that they deserved to stand for in front of a military trial. Al die mensen die je op het Tahrirplein voor de cameras van Al Jazeera zag, zaten om de hoek op school op de American University. Dat is dus niet de gemiddelde Egyptenaar. Mensen denken altijd dat wat je ziet, dat dat het is.

Hij verwijst naar een onderzoek van het Amerikaanse Pew Research Center.

Pin me niet vast op de cijfers, maar daaruit blijkt dat 90 procent van de Egyptenaren vindt dat overspelige vrouwen mogen worden gestenigd. 80 procent vindt dat afvalligen mogen worden gedood.

Vergelijkbare zorgen heeft Wilders momenteel bij de ontwikkelingen in Libië, vooral rond de plaats Benghazi in het oosten. De oppositionele krachten hebben daar nu al een week de macht overgenomen van het regime van Gaddafi.

Dat zijn strongholds van islamisten. Het is allemaal een dubbeltje op zijn kant. Het kan net zo goed erg of nog erger worden.

After a storming TV show we have not seen one before in the Arab world at night , we found out in the morning that Dr. Ahmed Shafik resigned and the AFC accepted it.
The AFC announced that it has appointed Dr. Essam Sharaf as our current prime minister and ordered him to form a new cabinet. This huge news was announced first at the Facebook as MSG. 26.
According to some sources it was not an actual resignation , Shafik knew that he resigned from the Facebook but of course according to the Cabinet's official FB he went to the AFC to resign before heading to the cabinet and announcing it officially. Al Masry Al Youm claims that Shafik told the employees at the cabinet that he could not continue in his position when the people refuse him.
I think Shafik has served as prime ministry for 33 days only , this is the shortest time a prime minister served in the cabinet since the coup of 1952 in Egypt.
Also according to some sources what he said last night played a huge role as Shafik according to what I see he put the blame of having unwanted ministers in his cabinet from the former regime because of the AFC , he put the blame on the army. There was no doubt that Shafik made a lot of people angrier.
People are extremely happy with choosing Essam Sharaf who became a global twitter trend already !!

The man is being invited to say the oath at Tahrir square tomorrow and some people close to him say that he is giving a thought and he may actually go. Already it turned out that he went once to Tahrir square during the revolution and demanded Mubarak to step down among a group of university professors.The last thing I heard that he may not go because he is extremely busy in forming the cabinet and will send a statement to the gathering at Tahrir tomorrow insh Allah. The man started to have FB fan pages already.

Essam Sharaf FB pages
Despite being a NDP member Sharaf is being widely respected as he was sucked off the ministry of transportation in Nazifs cabinet because of his integrity. It is enough to say that it turned Mamdouh Ismail was the reason why he was sucked off the ministry thanks to his friend Zakaria Azmi.It turned out that in 2005 one of Ismail's old ferries had accident with some oil tanker at the Suez canal. Sharaf began an
investigation and demanded Ismail to compensate the tanker ,the thing which the marine transportation tycoon could not forget. In the next ministerial reshuffle we find none other than businessman Mohamed Mansour instead of him.
Some people began to speak about other important file that Sharaf tried to open but failed and was the reason why he was kicked from the ministry : The corruption scandals of Soliman Metwally , the former minister of transportation and that file is considered the holy of holies as Metwally was just like Youssef wali.
I also heard that two factors made the AFC chose Sharaf specifically :
During the last meeting with the AFC representatives , the coalition of January 25th Youth suggested two names : Essam Sharaf and Dr. Hazem El-Biblawy.
Sharaf believes in the importance of our relations with the Nile basin countries , he is needed now more than ever.

He is a real technocrat man , he is extremely professional when it comes to transportation , he is from world renowned experts in transportation and got over 100 research about the development of highways ..etc. He was against the regime's control on the syndication of engineers.
The minister of foreign affairs is said to have resigned , already if I am not mistaken the cabinet of Shafik has collapsed already. Our ambassador to the UN Nabil El-Araby is a strong candidate despite he has not been informed yet officially.
Already despite the fact that Nabil El-Araby's name is on the FM's candidates list yet I think there is a confession between him Nabil El-Araby and Nabil El-Ezaby. Nabil El-Ezaby is a strong candidate for the ministry of interior. Nabil El-Ezaby is currently the governor of Asuit and actually the man has not got a so bright record as he was the chief of Cairo's security directorate in 2005 with all the jazz that happened in that year if you remember it.
