Niet alleen zijn deze kinderen vanuit Oekra�ne ontvoerd, ook zijn ze gerussificeerd en staan nu op adoptie websites onder nep namen, leeftijden en andere gegevens. Wat een kwalijke zaak. Hopelijk weten deze kinderen ooit hun weg terug te vinden naar Oekra�ne, het liefst vandaag nog natuurlijk, al is dat niet realistisch.

Maar met slechts 29 procent die volledig missie gereed is, flink oplopende kosten, een zekere onbetrouwbaarheid. Problemen met het produceren van de benodigde onderdelen en het upgraden van onderdelen en software. En flinke vertragingen wil ik niet zeggen dat zij er uitermate tevreden mee zijn.

Dat is slechts een klein deel van de afweging. De betrouwbaarheid, kosten, technische specificaties, leverbaarheid etc. wegen ook mee. En die afwegingen worden niet door de vlieger gedaan maar door de politiek/hoogste niveau van de landmacht/de luchtmacht/de marine/etc.

En ja over tijd kan de mening over/de ervaring met bepaalde systemen veranderen. Wat verschillende redenen kan hebben. Dit kan in positieve en negatieve zin gebeuren.

Ik geeft het weinig success met de huidige republikeinse meerderheid in het Huis. Die hebben al aangegeven dat er geen nieuw hulppakket gaat komen. Dat die van eerder dit jaar de laatste is. En mocht Trump weer president worden (wat ik niet verwacht) dan kunnen ze het helemaal vergeten.

Al zou het kunnen dat niet onder het Huis valt natuurlijk. Omdat het een NAVO iets is. Geen idee hoe dat geregeld is.

Al dat nucleaire gedreig steeds weer heeft inderdaad ervoor gezorgd dat het grootste gedeelte van de wereld hun niet meer serieus neemt wanneer het op dit soort dreigementen aankomt.

Net zoals het verzenden van dat schip en de onderzeeboot (met sleepboot/brandstof boot) naar Cuba toe ook geen impact heeft gemaakt. Het was ongetwijfeld de bedoeling om het westen aan het beven te krijgen. Maar ja ondertussen weten wij wel dat hun vloot een lachertje is.

In Afghanistan was het zo'n 250000 kogels per kill voor de Amerikanen. Deze drone cijfers zijn dus al aardig goed hoor.

Sowieso zijn die drones echt extreem effectief. De cijfers (van drone piloten zelf) verschillen van 10-20% effectiviteit tov een doelwit. Dat betekent dus 5-10 drones per doelwit, wat ongeveer 2500-5000 euro kost. Zelfs 1 155mm granaat zit al gauw op 8000 euro.

Zo'n gigantische kosten effici�ntie hebben we niet meer gezien sinds Agincourt.
