Jij begrijpt er eigenlijk allemaal niks van, maar vind het wel 'reuze interessant'. Dat zijn de ergste dilletanten. Daarom ben je ook zo vatbaar voor allerlei onzinnige beweringen en theorieen. Je mist de kennis om het juist te plaatsen. In jouw geval ben je in het Oekraine-kamp beland, maar je was net zo gemakkelijk voor de Russische propaganda gevallen. Je mist immers het vermogen om onderscheid te maken tussen de werkelijkheid en propaganda.

Doe liever eens wat moeite om je in te lezen, bijvoorbeeld op wikipedia. Dat is kwalitatief helemaal niet zo slecht. Maar je 'kennis' opbouwen met tiktok-filmpjes, vooral als je in de juiste bubble beland bent, helpt niet echt bij de juiste beeldvorming. Dat toon je telkens weer aan.

Dus wat wil je nou? Doet Oekraine het ook express ofzo? Daarbij, met dik 200 drones en missiles is een uitkomst van nog geen 10 gewonden (en voor de derde keer, dit kan nog oplopen natuurlijk) wel erg mager als je express een terreurbombardement wil uitvoeren.

En zoals @:Skysherrif terecht opmerkte, de aanval was gericht op de havens en energie infra.

Tymur Tkachenko, Kyiv’s regional governor, said the attack damaged a residential building, cars and outbuildings in the Brovary district and caused a fire at a non-residential building.

“Russia continues to terrorise the civilian population,” Mr Tkachenko said in a Telegram post, adding that emergency crews were battling fires at a fuel tank in the capital.

Moscow also claimed to hit a fuel facility in Kyiv which its defence ministry said supplies petroleum to the Ukrainian armed forces.

Ukraine’s State Emergency Service said fires broke out at two garages and a commercial building in the Holosiivskyi district.

Another fire was extinguished “on the territory of an enterprise” in the Obolonskyi district, it added.

A drone also entered Bulgarian airspace and exploded near the village of Kardam.

No casualties or damage occurred after the drone detonated in a sunflower field near the Romanian border, Rumen Radev, the Bulgarian prime minister, said.

The explosion ‌site ‌was 1km from a Bulgarian compressor station on the Trans-Balkan gas pipeline, which stretches from Turkey to Ukraine, and 200m ⁠from the Romanian compressor station.

Germany and other European countries have reported an increase of drones linked to the Russia-Ukraine war flying over sensitive sites such as airports, military bases and industrial plants.

On Tuesday, Russia was blamed after an explosive drone found near a Ukrainian cargo plane forced the shutdown of an airport in Germany.

US intelligence has warned that Moscow could attack a Nato country within weeks to test the alliance’s resolve.

Meanwhile, a Russian oil refinery caught fire after it was struck by Ukrainian drones in the southern Krasnodar region, injuring five people.

The Ilsky refinery has been repeatedly targeted by Ukraine throughout the conflict as Kyiv continues its campaign against Russian energy infrastructure.

Video footage showed flames and thick plumes of smoke rising from the refinery.

Ukrainian drones also targeted an industrial facility in Russia’s Samara region, the regional government said.

Russia’s defence ministry said air defences intercepted and destroyed 397 Ukrainian drones overnight.

Moscow also said it hit two Ukrainian cargo ships “carrying weapons and military equipment” east of Odesa.

Russia has been launching increasing numbers of ballistic missiles at Kyiv as Ukraine grapples with a perilous shortage of missile interceptors.

In an attack on the city earlier this week that left 17 people dead, not a single Russian missile was intercepted.

Only 29 of the 195 missiles launched by Russia in July were intercepted.

On Friday, Russia also struck a Ukrainian football stadium in Odesa.

The attack hit the 34,000-seater Chornomorets Stadium and destroyed the roof, windows, and stands, according to Ukraine’s State Emergency Service.

A 29-year-old woman was injured with shrapnel wounds, Oleh Kiper, Odesa’s regional governor, said.

The attack came a day before a Ukrainian Premier League game between Chornomorets and Kolos. No official announcement has yet been made on whether the fixture will go ahead.

The stadium hosted Uefa competition matches before Vladimir Putin launched Russia’s full-scale invasion in 2022, as well as international fixtures involving Ukraine’s national team.

The latest strikes came as Mr Zelensky arrived in Belgrade for talks with Aleksandar Vučić, the Serbian president.

The Ukrainian president is expected to discuss economic ties, security and Serbia’s relationship with the EU as he seeks to build wider international support for Kyiv.

Mr Vučić has maintained close ties with Moscow and has refused to impose sanctions on Russia.

In a statement after the strikes, Mr Zelensky said: “Europe, America, and Ukraine have long wanted to stop this Russian war. Only Putin doesn’t want to, and he’s desperately clinging to his ballistic missiles and drones to keep the war going.”

On Friday, the US senate passed a bill on a sanctions package targeting Russia’s energy revenues.

The legislation, backed historically by the late senator Lindsey Graham, introduces up to 100 per cent tariffs on major nations importing Russian oil and gas.

Russian attack blocks key road connecting Odesa with Moldova

Traffic to several border crossings with Moldova has been restricted in Odesa Oblast following a large-scale Russian attack, Ukraine’s State Border Guard Service said on Aug. 9.

A section of the Odesa-Reni highway has been temporarily closed, preventing traffic to and from several checkpoints on the Moldovan border in the direction of Odesa, border guards said.

“We recommend that travelers take this information into account when planning their trips. We will provide an additional update when traffic resumes,” the agency said.

A road bridge in the village of Mayaky was damaged in the attack, local outlet Izmail.City reported.

The bridge is critical to logistics in southern Ukraine because it provides transport links to the country’s Danube ports, one of the key routes for Ukraine’s foreign trade.

Traffic along the highway is currently completely blocked, with traffic jams stretching for several kilometers near the damaged bridge.

The Customs Service of Moldova announced temporary restrictions in response to the emergency.

At the Palanca-Mayaky-Udobne and Tudora-Starokozache checkpoints, travelers and vehicles are currently being processed only for entry into Moldova.

Travel out of Moldova is currently possible only through the Tudora-Starokozache border crossing.

Border authorities urged drivers to avoid planning trips to Odesa Oblast until the situation stabilizes.

Traffic could partially resume in the second half of the day, according to preliminary information, although no exact timeline has been set for completing the most urgent repair work.

Russia attacked Odesa Oblast overnight with ballistic, anti-ship and anti-radiation missiles, including Iskander-M/S-400, Oniks and Kh-31P missiles launched from the Black Sea, the Ukrainian Air Force previously said.

Several missiles failed to reach their targets.

A series of explosions was reported in Odesa, damaging residential buildings in several districts. At least eight people were injured.

Energy company DTEK described the strike as one of the largest attacks on the region over the past year.

Some households in the Odesa district lost power, including residents of the city’s Prymorskyi, Khadzhibeyskyi and Peresypskyi districts, as well as critical infrastructure facilities, the company said.

Odesa authorities also suspended electric public transportation because of the overnight Russian attack, the City Council said.
