F-35 Sustainment: Costs Continue to Rise While Planned Use and Availability Have Decreased
- We reported in this Q&A that DOD's projected costs to sustain the F-35 fleet keep increasing—from $1.1 trillion in 2018 to $1.58 trillion in 2023. Yet DOD plans to fly the F-35 less than originally estimated, partly because of reliability issues with the aircraft. The F-35's ability to perform its mission has also trended downward over the past 5 years.

Wanneer het werkt zijn zij er erg tevreden over dus. Het is het beste vliegtuig die zij hebben.
Maar met slechts 29 procent die volledig missie gereed is, flink oplopende kosten, een zekere onbetrouwbaarheid. Problemen met het produceren van de benodigde onderdelen en het upgraden van onderdelen en software. En flinke vertragingen wil ik niet zeggen dat zij er uitermate tevreden mee zijn.

"Every day we should try to do maximum harm to those countries that have imposed these restrictions. Harm their economies, their institutions and their rulers. Harm the well-being of their citizens, their confidence in the future."
Diplomats say Medvedev gives a flavour of hardline and high level thinking in the Kremlin, though Kyiv and Kremlin critics play down his influence, casting him as a scaremonger whose job is to deter Western action over Ukraine.
In his latest comments he spoke of the need to find critical vulnerabilities in Western economies, to target energy, industry, transport, banking and social services, and to stir up social tensions.
Western officials have already spoken about suspected Russian sabotage activities across the West, including arson, with some calling for Russian diplomats' movements to be curbed.
The Kremlin, which said on Thursday it was considering retaliatory action against the U.S. that would best suit Moscow's own interests, and the Russian foreign ministry have rejected the sabotage allegations as false.

De ervaring van de vlieger is slechts een deel van het geheel. Materieel wordt niet alleen maar gekocht omdat de vlieger/bestuurder/directe gebruiker het zo'n geweldig iets vindt. Dat is slechts een klein deel van de afweging. De betrouwbaarheid, kosten, technische specificaties, leverbaarheid etc. wegen ook mee. En die afwegingen worden niet door de vlieger gedaan maar door de politiek/hoogste niveau van de landmacht/de luchtmacht/de marine/etc.quote:

En ja over tijd kan de mening over/de ervaring met bepaalde systemen veranderen. Wat verschillende redenen kan hebben. Dit kan in positieve en negatieve zin gebeuren.

According to him, Berlin can provide only three Patriots, which is a quarter of Germany's total stock of these systems.
Ukraine has been waiting for the transfer of the third Patriot system from Germany since mid-April. German Chancellor Olaf Scholz recently promised that this system would be delivered to the Ukrainian army "in the coming weeks and months." Before this, Germany had already transferred two Patriot systems to Kyiv.
Pistorius stressed that Berlin cannot provide Ukraine with more than these three systems.

China zit gewoon te stoken, en zoals zij er al van beschuldigd werden zijn zij bezig om deze vredesbijeenkomst te laten mislukken. En blijkbaar is het doel om China de daadwerkelijke vredesonderhandelingen te laten organiseren met als basis het Chinese vredesplan. Zodat China een grote overwinning behaald op het wereldtoneel en zich voortaan als vredesstichter kan profileren. En hun invloed alleen maar groter wordt.

Deze vredesbijeenkomst is er helemaal niet om tot een vrede te komen of om over deze vrede te onderhandelen. Dit is slechts een eerste stap in het gehele proces. Met als hoofdpunten energieveiligheid, voedselveiligheid en het ruilen van krijgsgevangenen/terug krijgen van ontvoerden kinderen/burgers. En ja dat Oekraïne zijn vredesplan hierbij de kern is prima te begrijpen. Zij zijn het slachtoffer van Russisch geweld tenslotte. Rusland die geen vrede wil, en hier sowieso niet serieus over wil onderhandelen of praten. Lijkt mij meer dan logisch dat zij niet uitgenodigd zijn. Het was een uitspraak van iemand van de luchtmacht naar aanleiding van een vraag van de lid van congress/huis van afgevaardigden Matt Gaetz. De minister van defensie Austin kon dit niet ontkennen/beaamde het. Hoe het dus met de andere varianten zit weet ik niet. Maar het is niet onwaarschijnlijk dat die dezelfde problemen ervaren.quote:

De GOA rapporten gaan over de F-35 in het algemeen tenslotte.
En volledig missie gereed zou ik niet met zekerheid kunnen definiëren. Maar lijkt mij dat het dan gaat om een vliegtuig die klaar is om per direct op te stijgen en een missie uit te voeren.
China is volgens mij heel blij met deze westerse sancties op Rusland dus. Al zullen zij dat nooit gaan toegeven natuurlijk.

De B is STVOL (als de Harrier).
De C is voor vliegdekschepen, met inklapbare vleugels.
B en C zijn zeer specifiek en in principe alleen voor de VS.
