Wat is Nintendo Switch?
Nintendo Switch is de nieuwste console van Nintendo en de opvolger van WiiU. De basis van Switch is een tablet-achtig apparaat die je thuis in een docking station zet maar net zo gemakkelijk mee neemt op reis. In de preview trailer wordt het hele concept in iets meer dan drie minuten uitgelegd en beter kunnen wij het ook niet uitleggen.

First Look at Nintendo Switch

Tof! Wanneer kan ik ermee spelen?
Sinds 3 maart 2017 is de Switch, die regiovrij is, wereldwijd te koop. In Nederland ligt de prijs op zo'n 329 euro en voor dat geld krijg je de Switch, twee Joycon-controllers, een Joycon Grip, een docking station (met adapter) en een HDMI-kabel. Er wordt geen game meegeleverd tenzij het een speciale bundel betreft (de prijs ligt dan uiteraard wat hoger).

Switch 2019-model
Sinds de zomer van 2019 is er een nieuwe versie van de Nintendo Switch verschenen. Deze heeft vooral een langere batterijduur in handheldmode, zo'n vijf uur tegenover drie van het launch model. De 2019-versie gaat momenteel voor 329 euro en het oude model (mits nog voorradig) is dan vaak een paar tientjes goedkoper.

Switch Lite
Op 20 september 2019 verscheen de Switch Lite. Dit is een handheld only variant; zonder losse Joycon en zonder mogelijkheid om op de tv te spelen. De prijs ligt dan ook zo'n 100 euro lager. De Switch Lite is er in meerdere kleuren.

Switch OLED
Op 8 oktober 2021 verschijnt een vernieuwde Switch met OLED scherm. Het scherm is ietsje groter, maar qua hardware is het dezelfde console. Verkoopprijs is zo'n 349/359 euro. Er zijn twee kleuren: wit en rood/blauw.

Welke games zijn er nu zoal de moeite waard?

Ik denk dat het uitmaakt welke je al eerste speelt (P5 of P5G). De eerste keer spelen blijft het meest bijzonder. :)
Ik heb enkel P5R gespeeld, de originele niet, maar ik las dat het origineel op sommige punten wel een grindfest was soms, dat is met de QoL changes in P5R wel veranderd. Dat extra semester vond ik wel een leuke Bonus-missie. Maar heeft niet zoveel met het originele verhaal te maken. Al was Kasumi wel een goeie toevoeging vond ik.

Grindfest viel wel mee. Al was het niet mogelijk om, zoals in P5R wel kan, een dungeon in één dag te doen. Daarvoor had je gewoon te weinig SP.

Klopt de vibe van dat spel was echt goed. Je voelde je heel het spel heel kwetsbaar.

ach ik heb 1,2 4,5,en 6 opde GBA en 3 en 4 op de DS, mssn als er een keer een deal is dat ik de moeite neem om ze te herspelen.

Wel leuk voor de mensen die ze nog nooit gespeeld hebben en eens een poging willen wagen.

Super Stars, beste oude classics (uit de beste Mario Party delen van eerdere consoles, imho) in een nieuw jasje en naast bank co-op ook online modus.
De eerste Mario Party op de Switch was een beetje meh. Ook de beschikbare spelmodi in online was matig. Tenzij je de motion-controls minigames belangrijk vindt.

Thanks, dan ga ik voor de Super Stars! Ik heb nog geen Switch, en verder ook nog geen verstand van, maar ik wil er eentje voor mijn dochter van 8jr (en voor mezelf :P) aanschaffen als kerstcadeau. Dus als je toevallig nog meer weetjes of tips voor de Switch hebt dan hoor ik het graag :)

Betere graphics en misschien wat betere QoL controls/improvements? En past nog prima op een fysieke Switch-cartridge. Ik zie geen probleem.

Nah gewoon makkelijke port zonder gedoe. Er is meer ruimte nu dus minder development nodig om het op fysieke media te krijgen.
