Wat is Nintendo Switch?
Nintendo Switch is de nieuwste console van Nintendo en de opvolger van WiiU. De basis van Switch is een tablet-achtig apparaat die je thuis in een docking station zet maar net zo gemakkelijk mee neemt op reis. In de preview trailer wordt het hele concept in iets meer dan drie minuten uitgelegd en beter kunnen wij het ook niet uitleggen.

First Look at Nintendo Switch

Tof! Wanneer kan ik ermee spelen?
Sinds 3 maart 2017 is de Switch, die regiovrij is, wereldwijd te koop. In Nederland ligt de prijs op zo'n 329 euro en voor dat geld krijg je de Switch, twee Joycon-controllers, een Joycon Grip, een docking station (met adapter) en een HDMI-kabel. Er wordt geen game meegeleverd tenzij het een speciale bundel betreft (de prijs ligt dan uiteraard wat hoger).

Switch 2019-model
Sinds de zomer van 2019 is er een nieuwe versie van de Nintendo Switch verschenen. Deze heeft vooral een langere batterijduur in handheldmode, zo'n vijf uur tegenover drie van het launch model. De 2019-versie gaat momenteel voor 329 euro en het oude model (mits nog voorradig) is dan vaak een paar tientjes goedkoper.

Switch Lite
Op 20 september 2019 verscheen de Switch Lite. Dit is een handheld only variant; zonder losse Joycon en zonder mogelijkheid om op de tv te spelen. De prijs ligt dan ook zo'n 100 euro lager. De Switch Lite is er in meerdere kleuren.

Switch OLED
Op 8 oktober 2021 verschijnt een vernieuwde Switch met OLED scherm. Het scherm is ietsje groter, maar qua hardware is het dezelfde console. Verkoopprijs is zo'n 349/359 euro. Er zijn twee kleuren: wit en rood/blauw.

Ben bijna volledig door mijn backlog heen. Moet alleen FF7 nog, maar daar heb ik geen haast mee, ben ongeveer 10 uur onderweg in die.

Komende tijd weer lekker ff wat games binnenhalen, even kijken wat. Golden Sun voor Wii U is denk ik wel interessant, Mystery Dungeon mogelijk ook. Sowieso veel leuke dingen op de Wii U virtual console.

Had als klein jongetje KH1 en KH2 gespeeld maar snapte de overgang nooit. Bleek achteraf Chain of Memories dus het tussen deel te zijn. Paar jaar geleden voor het eerst gespeeld en was aangenaam verrast.

Een tijdje terug is Hollow Knight mij hier aangeraden omdat Metroid Dread zo goed beviel. Had hem al een tijdje liggen met 1 uur speeltijd maar was vrij moeilijk om in te komen. Nu in de vakantie weer mee begonnen en toch al weer 7 uur er op zitten. Leuk spel waar je hopeloos van kan worden als je ergens af gaat en weer de hele weg terug moet zoeken 8)7. Je kan hier makkelijker verdwalen dan in Metroid Dread maar al met al wel een leuke game ^O^.

Er zijn zat games op GamePass geweest die ik anders nooit gespeeld had, zoals Guardians of the Galaxy. Het is veel meuk maar ook veel verborgen toppers. Altijd genieten als je weer leest dat een game van je wishlist naar GamePass komt. Dat allemaal voor 90 voor 3 jaar.

Op m’n Series X speel ik alleen GamePass spellen, op de PS5 vaak wel disc (zoals Elden Ring) tenzij digital only.

Niemand hier over de nieuwe Pokemon trailer? Lechonk moet ik echt een plush van hebben zodra die uitkomt. :D

Ben tot nu toe positief over de trailers. Hopelijk is de wereld niet te leeg en wordt het qua gameplay iets minder tijdrovend, qua animaties enzo, want daar waren al die Dynamax dingen echt dramatisch in.

Arceus was saai, leeg, erg repetitief en vaak ook inspiratieloos, het lijkt meer op een uitgebreide tech demo dan een afgeronde game. Anders had ik nog best door de belachelijk slechte graphics heen kunnen kijken.

Ik vind het echt een wonder dat het nog redelijke beoordelingen krijgt.

Het lijkt steeds meer alsof ze je vooral veel dingen te doen willen geven. Simpele, kleine dingen. Alles om je zogenaamd bezig te houden terwijl je bijna blind van marker naar marker reist.

In het begin is het allemaal een poosje nieuw en grappig en ben je nog benieuwd wat er te ontdekken valt maar de formule die ze proberen te herhalen is al snel zo pijnlijk duidelijk en voelbaar dat eigenlijk alleen kinderen nog voldoende tijd en interesse hebben om Pokemon X nog even 10x te vangen maar nu terwijl ie slaapt.

Je hebt pokemon Lets go Pikachu en Eevee. Is vrijwel identiek behalve misschien het manier van Pokmon vangen.

Wat ik vervelend van Sun/Moon vond is dat je bijna elke stap weer een story characters had die uitlegde wat je moest doen. Maar heb die alsnog met plezier gespeeld vond de SOS methode ook geinig.

Arceus vind ik na HG/SS denk ik het beste spel. Alpha shinies hunten na de nieuwe update is leuk en uitdagend om te doen.

Sword en Shield is voor mij het 3e beste spel van Pokmon denk ik. Maar dat komt vooral door de laatste DLC waar je Dynamax Adventures kreeg. Het verhaal was wel minder inderdaad. En het online battle systeem is ook tof vind ik.

Scarlet en Violet word wel echt een goed spel. Dat weet ik zeker.

BD/SP was wel minder omdat het echt exacte kopien zijn van de originelen. Behalve dat je uiteindelijk Shaymin/Darkrai/Arceus kan krijgen.
Maarja veelste laat had veel eerder gekund.

Psyched is een te groot woord, maar ik heb 'm inmiddels besteld bij MediaMarkt voor 48,99
Echter zijn mijn verwachtingen laag…

Normaal doe ik dat blindelings met 1st party Nintendo games. Maar de Super Mario sport games (golf, tennis) komen de laatste jaren nooit echt goed uit de verf vind ik.
Ik heb verschillende Mario sport games gehad op de WiU, 3DS en Switch en ze waren allemaal even vreselijk.

Ik heb in 2005 wel veel de NGC versie van Mario Football gespeeld met vrienden. Gewoon op de bank met teveel alcohol op hele competities maken enzo. Altijd lachuh en kickuh en daarna op stap.
Maar nu zijn we allemaal in de 40 met andere verplichtingen en verantwoordelijkheden en even afspreken is al een heel gedoe.
Ook de Wii versie van Mario Football vond ik al stuk minder leuk.
Het kwam te snel na de NGC versie vond ik en er mistte een fun factor in die game.

Maar nu zijn we 15 jaar verder dan de Wii versie, hopen dat deze beter is.

Ik hoop dat er nog een Tetris99 theme voor komt!
