Welkom in het Nintendo Switch-topic op FOK! Wat is Nintendo Switch?
Nintendo Switch is de nieuwste console van Nintendo en de opvolger van WiiU. De basis van Switch is een tablet-achtig apparaat die je thuis in een docking station zet maar net zo gemakkelijk mee neemt op reis. In de preview trailer wordt het hele concept in iets meer dan drie minuten uitgelegd en beter kunnen wij het ook niet uitleggen.
Tof! Wanneer kan ik ermee spelen?
Sinds 3 maart 2017 is de Switch, die regiovrij is, wereldwijd te koop. In Nederland ligt de prijs op zo'n 329 euro en voor dat geld krijg je de Switch, twee Joycon-controllers, een Joycon Grip, een docking station (met adapter) en een HDMI-kabel. Er wordt geen game meegeleverd tenzij het een speciale bundel betreft (de prijs ligt dan uiteraard wat hoger).
Switch 2019-model
Sinds de zomer van 2019 is er een nieuwe versie van de Nintendo Switch verschenen. Deze heeft vooral een langere batterijduur in handheldmode, zo'n vijf uur tegenover drie van het launch model. De 2019-versie gaat momenteel voor 329 euro en het oude model (mits nog voorradig) is dan vaak een paar tientjes goedkoper.
Switch Lite
Op 20 september 2019 verscheen de Switch Lite. Dit is een handheld only variant; zonder losse Joycon en zonder mogelijkheid om op de tv te spelen. De prijs ligt dan ook zo'n 100 euro lager. De Switch Lite is er in meerdere kleuren.
Switch OLED
Op 8 oktober 2021 verschijnt een vernieuwde Switch met OLED scherm. Het scherm is ietsje groter, maar qua hardware is het dezelfde console. Verkoopprijs is zo'n 349/359 euro. Er zijn twee kleuren: wit en rood/blauw.

Mario Kart lijkt me ook erg leuk inderdaad. Vroeger speelde ik zelf fanatiek Super Mario Kart op de Super Nintendoquote:

Mario Kart is toch soms in de aanbieding? Als ze Nintendo's eigen spellen in de ¤40 aanbieding gooien zit die er ook meestal bij dacht ik. En anders is het ook het geld wel waard.
GwaiLow, ik zou Zelda voorlopig links laten liggen, is geen instap-spel imo (en sowieso de matigste Zelda die ze in jaren hebben uitgebracht, maar daar denken velen ander over). Ik zou Mario Odyssee aanraden. Dat is wel een leuk instap-spel wat je ook leuk semi-samen kunt spelen maar waar tegelijk ook genoeg diepgang in zit om je lang mee te vermaken. En Animal Crossing doet het ook goed bij meisjes. Kirby is ook qua moeilijkheid een prima begin-spel waarbij je als ouder ook mee kunt spelen om je kind te helpen.

Ik zag dat je ook spellen via een eShop kon kopen en dan dowloaden. Is dat een stuk handiger dan ze gewoon te kopen in een hoesje? Dan zou ik wel een geheugenkaartje moeten kopen uiteraard.
Ligt er aan, op cartridge kun je doorverkopen en eventueel uitlenen aan vriendjes. Voordeel van digitaal is dat je niet hoeft te wisselen, maar dat is imo ook het enige voordeel.quote:

Ja en nee tegelijk. Fysiek heb je ze voor altijd, downloaden is handig maar wanneer de server voor een bepaald spel uit gaat ben je ook die functies kwijt ( mulitplayer enzo). En fysiek kan je ruilen met vriendjes. Dat was een harde les voor mij vroeger toen we naar een marrokanen buurt verhuisden. Ik was gewend dat ik mijn spelletjes na een week of wat terug kreeg en anders kwam de moeder/vader ze wel brengen. Die teringlijers hielden ze gewoon zelf(zogenaamd kwijt). Ik ben zo mortal kombat 2 en wat andere spellen kwijt geraakt. Dus ik zou wel een beetje opletten waar je dochter de spelletjes mee ruilt mocht het gebeuren. Dan weet je in ieder geval waar ze zijn.quote:

Ik zag dat je ook spellen via een eShop kon kopen en dan dowloaden. Is dat een stuk handiger dan ze gewoon te kopen in een hoesje? Dan zou ik wel een geheugenkaartje moeten kopen uiteraard.
Downloaden heeft nog een voordeel: eenmaal gekocht kan je hem altijd (op hetzelfde apparaat) opnieuw downloaden als je een keer ruimte heb vrijgemaakt voor iets anders.

Vraagje over de Switch Oled versie.
Een vriendin van mij heeft sinds deze week een Oled versie.
En die wil voor haar zoon een 2e gebruiker toevoegen die dan ook gwn haar spellen kan spelen.
Dat ging haar lastig af, nou dacht ik oh ik kijk even of ik kan vinden hoe dat moet. Binnen een minuut ingesteld en klaar.
Echter nou heb ik dus een Switch Lite. Daar voeg je dus gwn een user toe en die koppel je niet en bij openen spel selecteer je welke user en die kan elk spel gewoon openen.
Schijnbaar is dat bij de Oled geblokkeerd?
Moet je bij de Oled een familieaccount kopen of zit er iets fout in de systeem instellingen waardoor het niet lukt?

Ik heb al jaren een Switch Lite, bevalt echt zeer goed.
Zie eigenlijk geen meerwaarde voor mijzelf om de gewone Switch te halen.
Maar nou dacht ik wel eens aan de game Nintendo Switch Sports.
Van wat ik begrijp kan je dit als je extra joycons koopt gewoon op de Lite spelen.
Alleen niet split-screen. Multiplayer online moet ook gewoon goed werken.
Heeft iemand hier toevallig ervaring mee?
Tuurlijk was split-screen thuis leuk geweest, maar om de beurt is ook wel leuk.
En met vrienden online.
Zie eigenlijk geen meerwaarde voor mijzelf om de gewone Switch te halen.
Maar nou dacht ik wel eens aan de game Nintendo Switch Sports.

Alleen niet split-screen. Multiplayer online moet ook gewoon goed werken.

Ik miste wel heel erg de aankondiging van een nieuwe Mario-game, de laatste 3D mario is alweer 5,5 jaar oud. Ik loop niet warm voor RPG's en Zelda, en Pikmin is voor mij geen full-price serie, die heb ik na een paar levels vaak wel weer gezien. Van alles wat aangekondigd is lijken Kirby en die Disney 2D-game me nog het leukste.

Octopath is in het begin echt nog wel vrij gemakkelijk, ik zit in chapter 2 bijna in elk vervolgverhaal onder het recommended level.
Moet wel chapter 1 van Oswald nog doen. Maar die pak ik op het einde van chapter 2 wel.
