Collins is bovendien Senator uit een D+3 staat en moet dus grof gezegd democraten voor zich zien te winnen als ze nog eens een gooi wil doen (of het maakt niet uit als niet) en Murkowski heeft ooit haar primary verloren in Alaska en won daarna alsnog van de Republikein, op basis van write-in's (dan kruizen ze niet een hokje aan, maar schrijven ze de naam)... die hoeft dus niet echt rekening te houden met de malle fratsen van McConnell.
Zou trouwens niet per se spreken over hoop oid, maar meer dat ALS bepaalde senatoren bereid zijn te breken van de lijn, dan zijn dit waarschijnlijk de eersten.

Honest question: What argument does Bolton have for not testifying if the HOUSE now subpoenas him? Why would he obey a Senate subpoena but fight a House one?

Trump is on Rush Limbaugh. Rush complains people are being irrationally frightened of "World War III." He asks Trump to explain why the Soleimani killing "makes us safer." Trump says this should've been done for 15 or 20 years, calls him "a terrorist." 
Pentagon to begin sending 6 B-52s to Diego Garcia: US official. B-52s will be available for operations against Iran if ordered, the official said. But the deployment does not signal that operations have been ordered.
