Discussies en diepgaande gesprekken over de politiek in de breedste zin van het woord kun je hier voeren.
Daarvoor schiet mijn kennis over de Amerikaanse politiek tekort. Steve Bullock zou wellicht een aardige tegenkandidaat zijn voor Trump (gouverneur van Montana, geliefd bij Democraten en Republikeinen), maar dat is nou net een van de weinige Democraten dit zich niet verkiesbaar gesteld heeft.

Trump’s string of bankruptcies reportedly grabbed the attention of the Russian mob’s boss of bosses, Semion Mogilevoch (see Active Measures documentary). Trump’s financial troubles made him an easy mark, and Russia stood ready to convert him into a full-fledged Russian mob asset.
From 2002-2011, Trump resurrected his business empire by partnering with Bayrock Capital (run by Felix Sater, a know associate of the Russian mob) on a string of Trump tower projects that were vehicles for Russian money laundering.
The Bayrock deals worked like this: Trump would license his name to a tower project and, before the tower was even built, hundreds of units would be sold to shell companies controlled by Russian mobsters and oligarchs.
The tower project would then leverage the presold units to market the tower project to other investors and unwitting condo buyers who thought they were buying into a hot deal.
The units bought by Russians could be churned by selling them to other Russian shell companies to accomplish multiple money laundering transactions on the same units or they could be sold to unwitting third parties
Trump took a cut of the deals and invested almost no capital. Free money! But the Russian mob doesn’t just give away money. Yes, they were benefiting from the money laundering, but they surely wanted more. They had significant leverage over Trump and it was time to seal the deal.
In 2008, Trump found himself unable to repay a $600M loan from Deutsche Bank. Miraculously, in 2010, Deutsche Bank decided to loan Trump money to allow Trump to repay its loan to Deutsche Bank. Now, why in the world would DB do that?
Why would Deutsche Bank loan money to Trump to allow Trump to repay a loan to Deutsche Bank? What’s the difference between the first and second loan that makes the first one no good and second one acceptable? How about if the second loan is guaranteed by someone other than Trump?
We’ve now gotten two separate reports from two separate sources saying the 2010 loan from DB was guaranteed by Russians. The first report said a Russian oligarch guaranteed the loan and the second report said a Russian state-owned bank guaranteed the loan.
In 2014, Eric Trump admitted that the Trump Organization doesn’t take loans from banks because it has access to all the funding it needs for its golf course projects from Russia. That’s right, he said that out loud. Golf courses make for easy money laundering, btw.
Heading into the 2016 election, it’s pretty clear that Trump was massively intertwined with the Russian mob. His tower projects and his golf courses were Russian mob money laundering operations, and his bank debt was likely guaranteed by some variety of Russian money.
I’m quite sure both the State of NY and the House know exactly what Trump has been up to, and they are close to getting the goods.
Let’s listen to Trump’s own explanation from the intro to Season 1 of the propaganda show known as “The Apprentice” of how he “fought back and won, big league” after being “billions of dollars in debt”. Oh wait, that’s right, he doesn’t say...
