Oh dat is ook wel een goeie nu bij Maddow. Naast de dubieuze stelling dat een president niet aangeklaagd kan worden heeft het plaatsen van een aanklacht 'under seal' ook zijn aantrekkelijke kant: het kan als pressiemiddel gebruikt worden om Trump af te laten treden in ruil voor het afzien van vervolging zoals ook bij Agnew gebeurd is.

Het was geen dreigement, Gaetz wil alleen maar achter de geloofwaardigheid van Cohen komen. Blijkbaar vindt hij het evt. liegen van Cohen tegen zijn vrouw een bewijs dat hij morgen ook liegt. Vreemde logica wel.
Het is ook niet alsof er sprake van is dat alleen het woord van Cohen als bewijs zou dienen voor Trump's criminele gedrag. Daar zijn nog altijd ondersteunende bewijzen voor nodig. Komt bij dat dit uit de mond komt van één van de trouwste aanhangers van Trump, de grootste leugenaar van allemaal.
Maar daar gaat het natuurlijk ook helemaal niet om. Het dient slechts om de publieke opinie te beinvloeden en gaat erin als koek bij Trump's fanbase.
