En na de val van het Oostblok heeft het voor ons weinig zin om zo'n wapens te plaatsen. De situatie is nu omgekeerd, wij zouden MAD triggeren als we intermediate range wapens inzetten, want die zijn noodzakelijkerwijze op Russisch grondgebied gericht, wat Rusland in een use or lose situatie plaatst.

In Nederland stijgt de levensverwachting ook nog steeds gewoon, in tegenstelling tot de VS.

Als je naar de WHO kijkt heb je inderdaad gelijk, maar in de jaren 70 stond Nederland relatief hoger in de ranking.

Verder scoort ook Nederland in veel onderzoeken onder de verwachte levensverwachting

Dat de boel de laatste jaren wat lager uitvalt lijkt overigens vooral het effect van wat extremer weer en griepepidemieën begreep ik. Maar goed, het gaat hier niet over Nederland natuurlijk.
