The Doors. Nooit echt mijn band geweest, dat orgelgeluid is zo ongelooflijk oubollig (Light my Fire vind ik zo ongeveer het verschrikkelijkste lied wat er bestaat)

Light my fire is een goed nummer; helaas wat te vaak gehoord in de afgelopen jaren (dat is ook de reden dat Bohemian Rhapsody van Queen niet erg hoog zou scoren bij mij bv), dus die staat er niet in.

Ja, maar die zijn op een andere manier oubollig, lekker bluesy en zo..ook oubollig etc, maar tenminste beetje duister en zo. Vooral Riders staat mijlenver bovenaan bij mij. Gaf ik ook altijd op voor de top 2000 en zo, geniaal nummerquote:

Ik vraag het want ik heb nooit uitvoerig naar dat nummer geluisterdquote:
Je komt er natuurlijk niet echt omheen, volgens mij gebruiken ze het overal wel. Maar de manier van uitvoering vind ik in Riders dan wel weer goed. Ik ben in het algemeen wel een fan van dat orgel (bij andere bands, vooral in de jazz), maar the manier waarop the Doors het meestal gebruiken is niet aan mij besteedquote:

Voor de zekerheid nog wat nummers gedraaid... dit moet 'm zijn. Dat orgeltje vind ik wel prima, maar graag geen minutenlange solo's. The End aan het begin van Apocalypse Now is wel gaaf maar ik zal het nummer niet snel los opzetten, beetje erg lang.

Wat ik niet begrijp is dat je zo'n ongelooflijk geinspireerd nummer, dat op het scherpst van de snede gespeeld is, kunt maken als Smells like teen spirit en dan vervolgens zo jammerlijk dat momentum kunt laten schieten. Kijk, rustige muziek prima, maar het werd gewoon echt gedemotiveerd, slappe insteek en dus saai.
