Ik vind het niet zo raar. Heel veel mensen zijn niet zo met de politiek bezig (zoek maar eens de naamsbekendheid van politici op) en heel veel extremiteiten van een Trump of Wilders halen niet het nieuws (die bang zijn om partijdig over te komen, bezuinigingen enz). Je moet echt goed genformeerd zijn om te weten dat Wilders op rassenrellen hoopt, Assad als voorbeeld ziet en Gring supporters in zijn fractie heeft.quote:

De Ipsos exit poll liet zien dat een groot deel van de PVV stemmers dit pas op het laatste moment besloot. Twee-derde van de niet-stemmers in 2021 werden pas in de laatste week naar PVV toegezogen. De laatste week beslissers onder de niet-stemmers (van 2021) gingen bij bosjes naar de PVV.
Vandaar ook alle Milders-acts. Iets wat we bij wel meer figuren in de anti-democratische hoek hebben gezien. Ook Trump probeert de laatste twee weken leuker over te komen.

Asked about the proposal, Steven Cheung, a spokesman for the Trump campaign, responded with an attack on Vice President Kamala Harris, saying she and Democrats “have weaponized the Department of Justice to attack President Trump and his supporters” and that Mr. Trump would use “the full powers of the presidency” to build his administration starting on Inauguration Day.
A number of Mr. Trump’s advisers — and the former president himself — have long viewed background checks for security clearances with deep suspicion.
They believe that the process is designed to make challenges to outcomes difficult, and that personal pieces of information submitted during the vetting can be disseminated later for damaging results. Mr. Trump has long railed about the F.B.I. being part of a “deep state” conspiracy to undermine him.
