Dat dan weer niet. Ik was weer bezig met een wonderlijke beschouwing vanuit een scherpe, doch komische hoek, tot ik mij realiseerde hoe laat het was en hoeveel ik alweer gezopen had en hoe slecht ik ook weer uit mijn woorden kwam, dat ik dacht: laat ik het er voor vannacht maar gewoon bij laten. Dat is een bijzonder goede eigenschap, trouwens, weten wanneer je je bek moet houden als ook zo nu en dan je ongelijk, onmacht en/of onbegrip willen erkennen. Daar kan mening politicus zijn voordeel mee doen (zo ook anderen, trouwens). Je zal welhaast vergeten dat die ook maar net voor de eerste keer mens zijn!quote:
