En ik kom toch regelmatig optimistische meningen van vooraanstaande juristen tegen waarbij Trump's (onwettige) bemoeienis met de uitslag in Georgia (waarvan oa een telefoongesprek is opgenomen) nog de meeste kans van slagen heeft.

Blijkbaar zijn de mensen die voor Trump willen vechten in de praktijk veel meer bereid om dat ook echt te doen.
De mensen die (mijns inziens terecht) vinden dat hij maar beter kan verdwijnen of moet brommen, houden dat liever geheim en laten het afweten als het erop aankomt.
Vandaar dat ik het somber inzie.
Ik doe het ff rustig aan.
Het is niet zozeer de GOP die dit moet denken, maar de grote donors en MAGA media zoals Fox, Breitbart en OAN. Als zij massaal het MAGA publiek gaan groomen richting een andere kandidaat dan is Trump wl aangeschoten wild, want dan verliest hij zijn bescherming. In fact, Trump briefed us in advance on the corrupt scheme he intended to carry out, and then executed it according to plan. Yet the story we constantly hear is Trump “believed” his efforts had some sort of legitimate basis. That’s absurd.
Whether Trump and his band of coup-plotters will be criminally investigated is unknown, of course. But whatever happens on that front, Monday’s line of inquiry has the potential to forcefully expose to the public the throbbing core of premeditated corruption at the heart of Trump’s scheme. And that could enlarge public understanding in a very big way.
