Also on Sunday, The New Yorker published an allegation from Deborah Ramirez, a former Yale University classmate of Kavanaugh’s, who claimed Kavanaugh exposed himself to her at a dorm-room party during the 1983-84 school year. Avenatti clarified that his client was not Ramirez.
The two allegations come less than a week before Christine Blasey Ford is set to testify in open court about her claim that Kavanaugh attempted to rape her while they were in high school. Ford said Judge was a witness to the incident.
Kavanaugh has denied both Ramirez and Ford’s allegations.
Avenatti, who also represents adult film actress Stormy Daniels in her lawsuit against President Donald Trump, said he “will be demanding the opportunity to present testimony” to the Senate Judicial Committee, which is overseeing Kavanaugh’s nomination proceedings.

Kavanaugh intrekken is de minst risicovolle optie. Iedere andere optie heeft wellicht tot gevolg dat Kavanaugh wel benoemd wordt, maar de reputatie van het Hooggerechtshof voorgoed bezoedeld is, en brengt enorme politieke risico's met zich mee. But with a current margin of 51/49 in the Senate, Republicans are justifiably nervous. And the House results could indirectly affect the SCOTUS process as well, if only because a big Democratic wave might make Senate Republicans even more nervous about 2020, while threatening Trump’s grip on power.
5) November 2018 to January: A likely lame-duck session of Congress. If, as appears almost certain, Democrats make significant gains in the House, then Republicans are likely to convene a so-called “lame-duck session” of the current Congress to get as much done as they can with their current margins of control. If Kavanaugh is not confirmed by November 6 and Democrats win back the Senate, then there will most definitely be a frenzied Republican effort to confirm him or some other Trump SCOTUS during the lame-duck session.
Would there be enough time for that to happen? Yes, if we are talking about Kavanaugh, who was nominated in July. Jahaaa.. Mijn mening verandert vaak. Niet dat ik niet weet wat ik zeg. Maar ik houd mij liever niet vast aan oude denkbeelden als nieuwe beter zijn...
Anyway, laat dit nog maar een weekje doorgaan. Die republikeinen mogen zich in bochten wringen om een echt onderzoek te dwarsbomen, terwijl er steeds meer signalen komen dat er toch wel wat mis is.

Zou Avenatti niet zijn licentie als advocaat te grabbel gooien als hij zomaar iemand min of meer beschuldigt van groepsverkrachting?
M.a.w. Avenatti kan zonder onderbouwing maar wat lullen en jij gelooft hem omdat hij dat heeft getweet. Word een beetje moe van die vent. Als zijn cliënt bestaat en niet naar buiten wil treden, moet hij dat ook niet doen. Dat hij dat wel doet toont aan dat het hem alleen om hemzelf gaat.quote:
