Ook in Nederland verliezen politici zelden... óf ze hebben gewonnen, óf je moet het anders zien, bijvoorbeeld als signaal van de kiezers hoe de partij een volgende keer sterker kan terugkomen, of ze hebben wél gewonnen, maar dan vergeleken met een andere verkiezing. De enige die ik op TV ooit écht heb zien verliezen was Boer Koekoek, die alle lichten uitdeed en deed of hij niet thuis was, waarna de presentator de onsterfelijke woorden sprak: "En zo bedankt de heer Koekoek alle mensen die toch nog op hem hebben gestemd."
De GOP heeft dus in Pennsylvania niet echt verloren, dat moet je anders zien...

Saccone is harder to dismiss.
One effort focuses on how moderate Democratic candidate Conor Lamb’s positions were. House Speaker Paul D. Ryan called Lamb a conservative, implying that Lamb wasn’t really a Democrat, so, therefore, this isn’t really a Democratic victory.
Someone needs to tell the Republican Party opposition research team about that.
