A locomotive and empty carriages of a freight train derailed in the Novooskolsky urban district of the Belgorod region, the region's governor Vyacheslav Gladkov reported.

According to him, the incident occurred as a result of "illegal interference in the operation of railway transport." "There were no casualties. Passenger trains passing through this section have been sent on a detour. Information about the consequences is being clarified," Gladkov wrote on his Telegram channel.

As the Baza Telegram channel clarifies , the freight train derailed as a result of an explosion on the tracks. This happened on the Volokonovka-Novy Oskol section late in the evening of September 10. According to the Telegram channel's source, the train, traveling from Bataysk to Stary Oskol, ran over an explosive device planted under the rail.

The former Minister of Defense of the self-proclaimed Donetsk People's Republic (DPR) Igor Girkin (Strelkov) was twice denied a request to go to war in Ukraine. He himself reported this in a letter from the colony, which was seen by "Beware, News".

"I contacted the military registration and enlistment office representatives who visit the penal colony, but I was refused twice even to accept my application. Once, with the reasoning that 'we don't need colonels.' They didn't even mention the article as a reason for the refusal. So far, nothing has changed in this regard," Strelkov noted.

Ukrainian enterprises can produce more drones, but this requires additional funding from partners, President Volodymyr Zelenskyy said during a briefing after the fourth summit of the International Crimea Platform.

According to him, the effectiveness of drones can be seen on the battlefield.

"The results are already visible, which is very important. When there's a significant deficit, non-delivery of certain packages, particularly 155 mm artillery shells, these drones are very helpful," Zelenskyy said.

He noted that drones primarily help save Ukrainian soldiers' lives.

"But we need money to increase our production volumes. We have these capabilities," he said.

Zelenskyy emphasized that he shared this information with partners, stating that Ukrainian companies are ready to double drone production.

"Some companies, especially private ones, are ready to do the maximum and even increase production fivefold. They're ready, but there's not enough money to do it," he added.

The president stated that Kyiv is turning to partners for funding assistance, as it's cheaper to manufacture drones in Ukraine.

Nadat Nederland blijkbaar aangegeven heeft geen Zwitserse wapens en zo meer te willen kopen is Duitsland de volgende. Ook Spanje en Denemarken zijn dit aan het overwegen.

Allemaal het gevolg van Zwitserland zijn neutraliteit en daardoor de weigering om toestemming te geven om wapens en zo van hun te mogen leveren aan Oekra�ne.

Gal Haimovich, 49, admitted to deceiving American companies about the destination of goods, including some that had missile technology applications, which he supplied to intermediaries en route to Russian customers, the US Justice Department said in a statement Tuesday.

Haimovich directed more than 160 shipments between at least March 2022 and May 2023 to companies in the Maldives and the United Arab Emirates, for ultimate delivery to Russia, the statement said.

The Israeli national hid from suppliers that he was ultimately working on behalf of Siberia Airlines, which he billed for some $2 million. He has now agreed to forfeit the money along with various aircraft parts.

The case is being overseen by the US Justice Department’s “KleptoCapture” task force to enforce sanctions and export controls on Russia amid the ongoing war in Ukraine.

The task force was launched by US Attorney General Merrick Garland in March 2022, within a month of Russia’s invasion.

The United States also accused Iran this week of providing Russia with ballistic missiles for use in Ukraine, a charge that the Islamic Republic has denied but that Russia has not explicitly rejected.

US Secretary of State Antony Blinken said Tuesday that Russia was also sharing technology with Iran, including on nuclear issues.

The US is set to impose new sanctions on Iran, including its airline Iran Air, Blinken said.

But freeing up space requires that even the sickest patients, many of them unconscious, are transferred to far-flung places, often hundreds of miles away.

Long ambulance journeys are too risky for people in a critical condition, and flying a helicopter is too dangerous given Russia’s air superiority over Ukrainian skies.

The train is a lifesaver.
