The pledged batteries "are there, they are ready for delivery. What is lacking is just the final go, the green light to do it," Kuleba stressed.

Russia’s former deputy defence minister General Pavel Popov has been detained on suspicion of corruption, a spokesperson for Russia’s Investigative Committee announced on Thursday.

Popov, who is the latest senior Russian military officer to be arrested since Sergei Shoigu was replaced as defence minister in May, has been under investigation for corruption during his time overseeing the maintenance of Patriot Park, a military theme park outside Moscow that’s been dubbed Russia’s “military Disneyland”.

Popov is alleged to have got construction companies contracted for work on the park to build his own private residence in the Moscow region city of Krasnogorsk between 2021–2024.

The case against Popov is the third investigation into a senior defence official associated with Patriot Park, and follows the detention of former park director Vyacheslav Akhmedov and the former deputy head of the Defence Ministry’s Innovations Department, Major General Vladimir Shesterov, on suspicion of corruption earlier this month.

Popov, who was dismissed from military service by Vladimir Putin in June, is now one of at least a dozen high-ranking Russian military officials who, since April, have been implicated in the largest wave of corruption scandals affecting the Russian military and defence establishment in years. If convicted, he faces up to 10 years in prison, according to Russian state-run news agency TASS.

The Kyiv City State Administration will donate 1310 MAVIC 3T drones with thermal imagers to the Ukrainian Defense Forces.

The Kyiv City State Administration announced this on Telegram.

The MAVIC 3T drones purchased at the city’s expense are now being distributed among the units and will be sent to the front line soon.

The drones are expected to be transferred to the 3rd Assault Brigade, 5th Assault Brigade, 112th Territorial Defense Brigade, 241st Territorial Defense Brigade, and the 4th Rapid Reaction Brigade “Rubizh” of the National Guard of Ukraine.

Het grote probleem in de Pokrovsk richting is dat de bewegingen van de laatste dagen richting Memrik (zuid) laten zien dat het gebied tot Kurakove erg zwak is. Daar valt men de verdedigingslinies van achteren aan.
In het noorden, ten westen van Jelizavetivka zien we hetzelfde.

Ik zag berichten dat grote delen van Selidove al onder Russische controle staan, dat zou ook een verdere opmars richting zuidwesten kunnen laten zien.

Controversial lawmaker Artem Dmytruk has been placed on Ukraine's wanted list, and the State Bureau of Investigation has launched an international search for him, it announced on Aug. 29.

The bureau previously confirmed on Aug. 26 that Dmytruk illegally crossed the border from Ukraine's Odesa Oblast to Moldova.

Under martial law, Ukrainian men aged between 18 and 60, with some exceptions, are not allowed to leave the country as they may be called up for military service.

Lawmakers can travel abroad if permitted by the head of the parliament, but Dmytruk had no such permission.

Dmytruk fled the country on Aug. 24, the day before Prosecutor General Andrii Kostin charged the lawmaker with assaulting a soldier and a law enforcement officer in separate altercations.

"The (bureau) announced an international search for the suspect, who is a current member of the parliament, due to attacks on citizens," it said in a statement on Aug. 29. The bureau did not name Dmytruk but included a photo of him.
