In a post on Telegram, Oleshchuk published a video showing what he described as a "precise" air strike on the structure.

"Minus one more bridge!" he added.

Though he did not state exactly where the bridge is located, the Russian Telegram channel Mash said it was a bridge over the Seim River near the village of Zvannoye.

It also claimed U.S.-supplied HIMARS missiles were used in the attack.

The Kyiv Independent could not verify the claims.

A soldier of the 80th Separate Galician Air Assault Brigade told how they managed to capture an advanced Russian T-90M Proryv tank in the Kursk region.

The press service of the 80th Air Assault Brigade published an interview with the soldier.

The tank was captured during one of the raiding operations of the 80th Air Assault Brigade behind enemy lines, where they were supposed to clear enemy positions.

During this operation, the military spotted a T-90M Proryv tank, which one of the Russian soldiers tried to start but failed.

"At some point, the formula that we deplete them faster than we deplete ourselves stopped working on this front. I'll say something heretical: not losing what we have now is more important than reclaiming the ‘foreign’ that may not even want to be reclaimed," Khodakovsky stated.

Hoewel dat offensief veel aandacht trekt, vinden de meeste gevechten nog steeds plaats in de ­Oekraïense Donbas. Daar moeten de Oekraïense troepen opboksen tegen een veel talrijker Russisch leger. Als Pokrovsk valt, komen de Oekraïners in het oosten ernstig in de problemen.
