That is increasingly at odds with the reality of regular air raid sirens and deadly Ukrainian missile and drone strikes on the city, including one on Thursday that killed two people and injured 19.

At the Crimea pavilion, throngs of visitors pose with men dressed as Roman legionnaires next to a video boasting about the bridge connecting the peninsula, which was illegally annexed in 2014, to the Russian mainland. There is no mention of the Ukrainian attack in 2022 that blew a hole in the bridge, or the frequent threats that lead to the closing of the bridge for hours at a time.

En volgens dit artikel hebben ze het gebruik van dit soort pennen al vanaf 2009 in Rusland gezien. En ook in de Oekraïnse verkiezingen van 2004 waarbij de Russisch gezinde Viktor Yanukovych de verkiezingen won. Hiervan kun je in het daadwerkelijke artikel onder de link de bronnen vinden.

Tevens is er ook nog een andere optie natuurlijk. Dat diegene die stemmen en dit niet op Putin willen doen, terwijl er een gewapende soldaat over hun schouder meekijkt, zo'n pen gebruiken. Een blanco stem is namelijk ongeldig volgens dit artikel. Maar ja, dan kunnen ze gemakkelijk even een vinkje plaatsen waar zij dat willen.
