Een afkorting voor Vehicle Based Improvised Explosive Device. Het zijn dingen die Isis / al Qaida etc. veel hebben gebruikt in Syri� en Irak. En als er een bestuurder in zit is het een Suicide VBIED. Het is inderdaad mogelijk ook een teken van wanhoop bij de Russen, omdat ze de middelen missen die ze nodig hebben. Maar een gevaarlijke ontwikkeling desalniettemin.

I feel like a prisoner

I am 24M Ukrainian and I feel like a prisoner.
The government not allowing men to leave the country.
The only option is to smuggle you out, it costs around 7k dollars, and it is not guaranteed to work (lottery), you can and will lose your money for noting, or go to prison.
(I can prove it, but I fear to write more about it even on reddit).
Not leaving a country if you are male in your passport is one problem.
Forced enlistment to war is the other problem.
They lie about "checking/updating information", every time it's actual mobilization in the next day or week if you're lucky.
They lie about "health check", because they have order from the above to write everyone as "healthy enough to serve".
The only people who are not "healthy enough to serve" are friends and relatives of those who conduct mobilization process and health checks.
By the rules of Ukraine, you must get the filled enlistment message directly to your hand, at your home address. But in reality, armed soldiers just walk on the streets with blank enlistment documents, stop every man, demand IDs and fill enlistment documents from scratch from your ID to enlist you.
If you refuse, you'll be beaten up, put in the bus, and enlisted anyway.
You just can't say no or call police, because police won't care.
More of it, if you refuse to take part in mobilization, you get a jail sentence for around 5 years. If you try to protect yourself when beaten by soldiers, you can go to jail for 15 years.
And the further your city or village from the capital city (Kyiv) the more absurd the situation is.
The only option I got is not leaving my home.
Last time I was on the street, I saw how a guy even younger than me was beaten up while screaming and taken to the bus.
It was in winter, today's June.
I also see how men are taken to these magic buses from the streets around once a week from my window.
Sometimes they scream and ask for help, yet no one cares.
I asked my lawyer if I can take footage of it, to share with the world, but he said that the only way for me to be safe is to hide and not exposing my existence to the government in any way. And that I won't help any guy that was caught on the street.
I live with my ill parents who lose their job long ago, because age discrimination is a thing in Ukraine. I'm the only working person in my family (remote), parents are buying products and don't tell anyone that I'm living here.
Furthermore, I'm alive thanks to them.
But I'm loosing my ability to work due to my psychological condition.
And if I'll lose my job during the war, my family is f@cked.
Also, I'm sad that while in my young age I must stay at home with constant fear of government, while the girls I liked living their lives in Europe.

Er gaat een dreiging van uit, maar hoe zijn de kosten jegens de baten?

Oude meuk (aan voertuigen en explosieven) zou misschien niet heel veel beter kunnen worden ingezet.
Maar zodra je bruikbaar spul moet gaan inzetten is dit in mijn ogen zonde.

Oekra�ne gaat zich ertegen verdedigen zodat wat raken lastiger wordt. Ook zal men naderende voertuigen uit de weg gaan. met zo’n tank mee oprukken is ook niet prettig natuurlijk.

500 meen ik, in ieder geval een fors aantal. Ik denk echter niet dat men daadwerkelijk over gaat tot deelname omdat dan NAVO garanties voor het eigen territorium niet langer gelden.

Navo lidstaten mogen best stiekem meedoen , zal verder niet veel uitmaken , Poetin gaat geen nukes gooien , dan gaat ie er zelf ook aan, de scheitert
