Mulvaney gaat over de achtergehouden steun en er was een hooggeplaatst iemand bij de DOJ die met verbazing reageerde volgens CBS. Ze wisten dus niet dat een onderzoek een overweging was bij het achterhouden van de steun en zullen dat dus, logischerwijze, ook niet gevraagd hebben.quote:

Daarnaast is er geen formeel verzoek gekomen vanuit de DOJ richting Oekraine, dus ook wat dat betreft vormt dit geen onderdeel van een echt onderzoek, maar dat was niet waar ik oorspronkelijk op doelde.

Kan iemand van de vaste kern hier uitleggen of het normaal is dat Schiff zo in die camera kijkt? Ik krijg er een beetje ''break the fourth wall''/house of cards gevoel van. Gebeurt dat bij alle hearings?
