Maak daar maar een 90% zekerheid van dat Trump dit in de praktijk gewoon gaat negeren. Want tot nu toe heeft hij structureel voor de slechtste keuzes voor het land en de beste keuzes voor hem gekozen.
Men moet in de VS nu ongeveer de belastingaangifte doen. Op Twitter stikt het nu van de boze mensen die ondanks de taxcut veel minder terugkrijgen dan vorig jaar.

Dat de republikeinen in een soort van vrije val zijn geraakt is maar al te duidelijk. Maar dit is al een tijdje aan de hand. Zelfs vóór Trump. Waar de GOP nog het meest berucht op is, is het feit dat ze alleen nog met kunstgrepen (Gerrymandering, voter suppression, electoral college) nog aan de bak kunnen komen. En de democraten beginnen het spelletje nu zo langzamerhand door te krijgen. Ze hebben ook door dat er getalsmatig op het moment té weinig republikeinen zijn. En Trump met vrije hand zal er alles aan doen om de democraten en opstandige republikeinen een flinke dreun te geven voor zijn ego-krenking van de afgelopen weken.
Zet 'm in ieder geval maar vast als het volgend unicum in de Amerikaanse geschiedenis op papier.

Ik zie weinig reacties van mensen die blij zijn met de teruggave. Of mensen die het miljardairs gunnen dat die minder moeten betalen. Of blij zijn dat de aangifte nu op een briefkaart past.
Ik ben benieuwd naar de polls als de meeste mensen klaar zijn. Ik kan me niet voorstellen dat het de GOP ineens populairder maakt.
