Overigens al heel veel leuke lijsten gezien (cafca, i am kloot, mich, on, gorro, mexicanobakker)

Leuk om te merken dat er op veel lijsten overlap is met mijn lijst (zelfde albums/artiesten/genres), maar de lijsten dan toch weer een heel eigen karakter hebben.

Ik vind dat er nog maar weinig lijsten zijn ingeleverd, maar mogelijk komt daar nog wel verandering in, aan het einde van de rit.

Thanks! In mijn tienerjaren voornamelijk naar metal geluisterd en dat werpt nog steeds zijn vruchten af. Er is maar weinig muziek waar ik zo in op kan gaan als in een Tool of Opeth album.

Stom verhaal. Ik heb geen idee meer wat mijn wachtwoord was. Die kun je normaal gesproken met wat gedoe via je e-mail veranderen, ware het niet dat het adres waar On aan gekoppeld was (een of ander .live adres waar ik nooit op kwam) niet meer bestaat. Maar ach, 't is maar een naam.

Klopt, snap ik. Ik denk ook dat het in de toekomst alleen maar meer wordt, aangezien je nu makkelijk op youtube en spotify playlists kunt maken van losse nummers en daarmee het album min of meer genegeerd wordt. Voor mezelf zit ik best wel in een hybride situatie - als ik naar m'n singleslijst kijk staan daar vooral nummers in van voor 2000 aangezien ik vanaf ca 2000 meer in albums dan in losse nummers ben gaan denken. Ik draai albums vaak helemaal en dan heb ik weinig verschil in de losse nummers. Van voor die tijd zijn het juist vaak de hits of nummers die op radio/tv zijn geweest die me het meest aanspreken. Daarom noem ik het ook een singleslijst en staan er heel weinig albumtracks in wat ik bij een hoop anderen wel zie.

Na pakweg 2000 zijn singles natuurlijk ook veel minder belangrijk geworden, doordat de invloed van de hitlijsten is afgenomen.

Voor exposure zijn singles nog altijd essentieel anders. In de rockmuziek ligt dat wel iets anders, daar is het de laatste 5 jaar zeker afgenomen.

Het valt op dat als er een studioalbum wordt genoemd van Rammstein het dan bijna altijd 'Sehnsucht' (1997) betreft. Vanwaar toch de keuze voor specifiek dit album van Rammstein? (Ik heb 'Sehnsucht' nog niet in mijn collectie en hoop deze nog wel te vinden, weliswaar voor een schappelijke prijs). Ik kan mij niet voorstellen dat de andere albums onderdoen aan?

Okee. Ik vind Midnight Boom heel sterk. Lekker broeierig sfeertje, Alison hitsig als de pest. Maar die twee daarvoor zijn ook meer dan prima. Wel met je eens dat het daarna net wat minder werd. Hoewel de plaat van dit jaar ook nog wel wat moois bevat!

Ik merk juist dat het niveau op Midnight Boom voor mij heel vlak is. What New York Used To Be en Sour Cherry (en misschien nog Last Day of Magic) zijn wel hoogtepunten, maar niet in de zin van "die zijn goed en de rest niet", meer met het idee van 'oh ja die vind ik wel iets fijner'. Maar mijn top 500 op liedjesniveau zouden ze niet halen.

Dat vind ik sowieso wat jammer aan The Kills, het is allemaal best tof, een fijn sfeertje, maar het mist net dat ene om er net een paar plaatjes écht uit te laten springen. Misschien dat daardoor de formule ook wat uitgewerkt is voor mij.

Ik weet nog dat ik dat voor het eerst hoorde (volgens mij was het URA Fever) en ik echt dacht 'wat is dit nu weer' Dat ik dat ooit dacht van de Kills kan ik me gewoon écht niet meer voorstellen
