Ik merk juist dat het niveau op Midnight Boom voor mij heel vlak is. What New York Used To Be en Sour Cherry (en misschien nog Last Day of Magic) zijn wel hoogtepunten, maar niet in de zin van "die zijn goed en de rest niet", meer met het idee van 'oh ja die vind ik wel iets fijner'. Maar mijn top 500 op liedjesniveau zouden ze niet halen.

Dat vind ik sowieso wat jammer aan The Kills, het is allemaal best tof, een fijn sfeertje, maar het mist net dat ene om er net een paar plaatjes écht uit te laten springen. Misschien dat daardoor de formule ook wat uitgewerkt is voor mij.

Ik weet nog dat ik dat voor het eerst hoorde (volgens mij was het URA Fever) en ik echt dacht 'wat is dit nu weer' Dat ik dat ooit dacht van de Kills kan ik me gewoon écht niet meer voorstellen

Ik was te lui om met hoofdletters te typen, maar dat geeft hopelijk geen problemen .

Ik kan nooit makkelijk kiezen Scott 3 of Scott 4. Beide platen staan vol meeslepende orchestrale arrangementen. Het is wel duidelijk waar The Last Shadow Puppets hun inspiratie vandaan halen. Het avant-garde werk dat daarna komt is natuurlijk helemaal leuk. Donald Duck imitaties, op lappen vlees staan als percussie, gekkigheid.

3 en 4 worden over het algemeen uit die periode wel als het beste beschouwd. Niet dat dat altijd iets zegt, maar het kan een richtlijn zijn.
