After seeing a recent tweet today regarding Lindsey Buckingham working on a new album, I decided to follow up and contact RACK ATTACK RENTALS to find out if there was any truth to what they said... Turns out... that information is FACT! How cool is that!

"LINDSEY BUCKINGHAM prepares new solo album for release utilizing Apogee Converters from Rack Attack"

No information on when the planned release will be... or what direction Lindsey is heading in with his music... But it looks like Lindsey hasn't just been taking it easy since Fleetwood Mac got off the road last year... Looking forward to it!!

Fleetwood Mac weer op tournee

Zangeres Stevie Nicks heeft bevestigd dat Fleetwood Mac volgend jaar op tournee gaat. Ze deed dat in een interview met de radiozender ABC News, waarin ze ook een toespeling maakte op nieuw materiaal volgend jaar.

Fleetwood Mac is een Britse band die in 1967 opgericht misschien wel best bekend van het album Rumours uit 1977 - met de hit Go your own way - dat door velen als een klassieker in het popgenre beschouwd werd. De groep kende in de loop der jaren een wisselende bezetting en wordt tegenwooridg gevormd door John McVie, Mick Fleetwood, Stevie Nicks, Lindsey Buckingham.

'We beginnen eind februari te repeteren', aldus Nicks in het interview. 'Als alles goed gaat, kunnen we dan eind april of in mei op tournee vertrekken.'

Ze vermeldde daarbij dat de groep ook aan nieuwe muziek werkt, hoewel het nog niet vaststaat dat die ook op plaat terecht komt.

Stevie Nicks: "I was in the studio with Lindsey last week for 4 days we recorded 2 songs". Stevie says they will probably throw those out about a month before they go on tour... They start rehearsals January 15th and should be on the road by the end of April, 2013.

Lindsey wrote two beautiful songs that Stevie says she sang on... She said that we have a song from the Buckingham Nicks era that should have gone on that record but it was the 13th song so didn't make it, so they recorded that. She says they might be doing those 3 songs - and for the tour she says they are really going to go through their catalogue and pull out some really neat stuff that they don't normally do on stage and make it a really different show from the 2003, 2004 and 2009 tours and make a real effort to make it a really special new show.

When asked how many shows she believes they'll play... Stevie says there will probably be about 50 US shows and they always do about 17 shows in Australia and about 15 shows in Europe... So it's a big tour.. it's a big world tour.

Exciting news about new music... The tour was a given, but the flip flopping on whether they should put out some new music was getting confusing.

We cut like seven, eight tracks with Mitchell Froom and the stuff turned out great. We did it all in the proper keys for Stevie’s range, and for her to drop in her parts. My hope she would hear some of this stuff and love it and get drawn in. She wasn’t really prepared to love it, so she didn’t. She’s starting to love it more now, now that she’s on a couple.

I would love to go out and do Buckingham/Nicks. It’s sort of ironic because when Stevie came over here and started working we just had a great time, the best time we have had in years. She did bring in one song that was supposed to be her contribution to the Fleetwood Mac thing. After we were done with it she decided she wanted to put it on the ‘Buckingham/Nicks’ album (laughs). So that’s fine too. I don’t care. It’s an old song from pre-Fleetwood Mac. It was written sometime after ‘Buckingham/Nicks’ came out but before we joined Fleetwood Mac. We were working on a second possible Buckingham/Nicks album that never happened. So yes. The issue with all of that is once again a logistics issue. I have no problem with dropping a bonus track or one from her and one from me and putting out ‘Buckingham/Nicks’ finally on CD.
