Michael Jackson's voodoo curse on the lives of David Geffen and Steven Spielberg is just one of the shocking claims in a new 10,000-word report from VANITY FAIR special correspondent Maureen Orth, the DRUDGE REPORT has learned.
She also reports that Jackson wears a prosthesis that serves as the tip of his nose (without it, says one person, he resembles a mummy with two nostril holes).
Orth, wife of NBC's Washington Bureau Chief Tim Russert, is set to unleash on NBC's TODAY SHOW Tuesday morning.
She will claim -- in a report which streets March 12 -- that Michael Jackson paid $150,000 to an African voodoo chief who promised him that David Geffen and Steven Spielberg and the 23 other people on Jackson's enemies list, some of whom had worked with him for years, would soon die.
The voodoo man, who had 42 cows ritually sacrificed for the ceremony, later assured one close observer of the scene that Geffen, who headed the list, would die within the week.
According to Orth, Jackson had already undergone a ritual cleansing blood bath with sheep's blood, for which he paid six figures to another voodoo doctor.
One source seriously doubts Orth's reporting, noting Geffen and Spielberg are friends of Michael Jackson. "The duo are even close to Jackson's manager John McClain," says the source.

To thank selected fans for their allegiance during his child-molestation trial, Michael Jackson and his family plan an invitation-only bash Saturday night at the Chumash Casino in Santa Ynez — although it is not clear whether the self-described King of Pop will be on stage.
Jackson, 46, was acquitted Monday on all counts of molestation and conspiracy after a 14-week trial that brought throngs of his most ardent fans to the steps of the courthouse in Santa Maria, Calif. Some of those fans and others selected by the Jackson family should get word today of their invitation to Saturday's performance.

"We don't know who will perform; we're just told the Jackson family is putting together an event for fans they have selected," said Frances Snyder, a spokeswoman for the casino.
Jackson's physical condition has been the subject of considerable speculation since his trial began. On the day of his first court appearance, Jackson performed an impromptu dance atop an SUV. But during the trial, he often appeared frail and weak, arriving late to court one morning after complaining of back pain. The day of his acquittal, he walked stiffly from the courthouse to a waiting car, helped by his father and his bodyguards.
The casino's usual crew of sound and lighting workers have been scheduled to work Saturday, and the seating will be in standard concert format, suggesting that the event will be more performance than party.
The room is a busy concert venue, with the Charlie Daniels Band performing Thursday night, and Tom Jones scheduled next week.
In September 2003, Jackson staged a 45th birthday celebration at The Orpheum Theatre in downtown Los Angeles. Fans paid $30 to attend, and many also brought gifts for the singer, who waved from an opera box as dancers, singers and Jackson impersonators feted him from the stage. He did not perform.
The casino may seem an unusual venue, but it is close to Jackson's Neverland ranch, and members of the pop star's family, including his father, Joe, have been staying at the casino hotel in recent weeks and turning heads in the resort's restaurant, the Willows.
"We get a lot of famous people, so it's been business as usual," said Snyder. "For Saturday, we're expecting a lot of people to be interested."
Casino security will be stepped up, and Jackson's own security detail will be working with the casino's security force, Snyder added.
"Everyone's welcome in the gaming area, but the party is a private event," she said.
She cautioned fans who hope to catch a glimpse of the pop star not to bring their cameras, which are prohibited by casino's rules.

Ik kan me vergissen, maar volgens mij heeft Michael z'n contract met Sony uitgediend. Dit compilatie album staat volgens mij los van enige contractuele verplichting. Sony kan, zonder dat Michael daar enige inbreng in heeft, tot in lengte van dagen z'n oude nummers uitbrengen in een nieuw jasje. Makkelijk cashen is dat. Het is best een goede cd alleen bijna nergens meer verkrijgbaar + er zit een greatest hits cd aan vast. haal cd1 er af en gooi cd 2 in de bak bij thriller en bad enzo.. heel weinig gasten hebben 'history'

Ik snap best dat sommigen de onbedwingbare behoefte hebben om Jackson af te blijven zeiken, maar het is wat mij betreft echt over de datum. Zum , dus tijd voor een ander slachtoffer. Ik hoop dat hij zin en binnenkort weer energie heeft om muziek te maken en op te treden.
Qua geld: ik vraag me af hoeveel er waar is van dat Michael geld vroeg voor Live Aid. En als dat wel zo is: hij geeft zoveel weg. Ook de opbrengst van zijn tours met zijn broers (Victory) en solo: Bad, Dangerous en HIStory. Ik weet niet of het handig is om op Live 8 te gaan staan nu, en ik vraag me ook af of het wel waar is. Volgens mij heeft hij daar op het moment niet zo'n behoefte aan. Maar ik zou wel blij verrast zijn als hij wel komt.

Ik vind 't zo raar dat mensen er bijna van overtuigd lijken te zijn dat ie weer 'n gigantische 'comeback' krijgt.. Die man kan bijna niks meer! Invincible was toch ook al 'n redelijke flop, hij was absoluut niet meer de MJ van paar jaar geleden.. Hij is fysiek gewoon niet helemaal goed meer. In "cry" was ie al niet eens in beeld.
