Russian propagandists claim that the Ukrainian Armed Forces allegedly control several settlements in the Kursk Oblast. No Security and Defense Forces department has commented on Ukraine's involvement in these events.

Soldiers of the 53rd Mechanized Brigade conducted successful counteroffensive actions in New York town, Donetsk region.

The video was published by the brigade’s press service.

During street battles in New York, the military managed to recapture school No. 38, located in the northern part of the town, from the Russian invaders.

Due to the brigade’s successful counteroffensive, the military servicemen managed to raise the flag of Ukraine over the building at coordinates 48.336530, 37.823622.

The video was posted on the Battalion’s X-page.

It is reported that the enemy’s Nona-SVK was discovered and destroyed in the Kharkiv region by the Vitrolom crew.

According to Oryx OSINT analysts, since the beginning of the full-scale Russian-Ukrainian war, at least two Russian 2S23s have been destroyed and three captured.

On August 7, Russian media reported that enemy forces have advanced towards the city of Sudzha in Kursk region, despite Russian officials stating that advance of enemy forces deeper into Russia in the Kursk direction has been halted.

Here’s what happened today at a glance, according to Russian media:
• Almost 20 settlements in the Kursk region are reportedly under full or partial control of the Ukrainian Armed Forces.

Details: The United Arab Emirates has banned entry to its ports for ships that sail under the flag of the African state of Eswatini (formerly Swaziland) in order to distance themselves from the shadow fleet transporting Russian oil.

Bloomberg added that the UAE had previously banned Cameroon-flagged tankers from its ports. Tankers registered under both these flags have been used to transport Russian oil to evade sanctions.

In 2023, not a single ship sailed under the Eswatini flag. Yet in 2024, 26 ships suddenly appeared under the flag of this tiny country in southern Africa which does not even have access to the sea.

Most of these vessels are tankers. There is no reliable data on the ownership of 16 of the ships. However, evidence indicates that some Eswatini-flagged tankers have been involved in transporting oil from Russia and Iran.
