Jammer dat ze de bedreigingen aan het adres van ABC nog niet hebben geadresseed. Waarom waren die op zichzelf trouwens geen nieuws waard? Voor de Republikeinen staat er een governorschap op het spel in Kentucky. Die kan extra belangrijk zijn in de eventuele herverkiezing van Mitch McConnell in 2020, omdat de Democratische kandidaat in tegenstelling tot de Republikeinse kandidaat zo'n 4 ą 5% van de bevolking hun stemrecht wil terug geven (als ik het goed berekend heb).
In Mississippi mocht de Republikeinse gouverneur niet meer mee doen, omdat hij al 2 termijn gehad heeft. Een nieuwe Republikeinse kandidaat is favoriet om te winnen, met de Democraat die een kans heeft.
Mississippi Senate, House en New Jersey House blijven qua meerderheden zoals ze zijn kun je wel met zekerheid stellen.
De Republikeinse meerderheden in de Virginia Senate en House kunnen gewonnen worden door de Democraten al is dat zeker geen zekerheidje. In 2017 lukte het net niet, en er zijn geen nieuwe districten getekend. Governor Northam (D) won desondanks zowel in Senaats- als Huis-districten een meerderheid aan stemmen in 2017.

Investigators are looking into possible election fraud in Marion ahead of the 2019 election. Authorities are investigating whether the Marion County Republican Party broke the law with campaign handouts that are designed to look like sample ballots.
The campaign materials look just like a sample ballot a voter could get from the county board of elections but it has boxes highlighting where the Republican candidates are. Ohio law bans political parties or candidates from handing out sample ballots. Sample ballots are also supposed to be printed on colored paper to distinguish it from real ones. The one in question is on white paper, just like a real ballot. At the bottom of the document, it said, "paid by the Marion County Republican Party."
ABC 6/FOX 28 tried calling and emailing the Marion County Republican Party but received no response. The address for the county party headquarters listed on its website is currently a vacant building being renovated.
So far it's unclear how many party officials or volunteers might be under investigation. No charges have been filed.
