Die hele memo is alleen maar geklaag over dat dossier. Het dossier wordt niet ontkracht. Het gaat voorbij aan bekende feiten, zoals Page die al veel eerder onderzocht werd en de GOP die deze firma in eerste instantie ingehuurd heeft.
Het is niet meer dan cherry picking. Sorry Nintex, maar de bus die uiteindelijk over Trump heen gaat rijden houdt gewoon koers. Dat is alleen niet wat gebeurd is. Steele wist niet wie zijn opdrachtgever was anders dan Fusion GPS en de DNC wist niet dat ze Steele gehuurd hadden... voor zover mijn informatie rijkt. Daarbij geeft de memo zelf aan dat de basis van het onderzoek naar de Rusland-connectie Papadopoulos is. Steele's dossier is kennelijk gebruikt bij een FISA verzoek voor Carter Page, maar die was al minimaal sinds 2014 onder surveillance... ruim voordat de eerste letter aan het Steele dossier getypt was of dat bekend was dat Trump uberhaupt een gooi zou doen naar het presidentschap.
Als je handelt naar de waarheden die in dat rapport staan is er inderdaad niets aan de hand. Maar logische gevolgen zijn waarschijnlijk te ingewikkeld voor jouw trolley geest.quote:

Je vergeet dat voor de rechter alleen belangrijk is of de opsteller van het dossier een betrouwbare informant is. De evt. vooringenomenheid van de aanvrager is veel minder belangrijk omdat in wezen iedereen in meer of mindere mate vooringenomen is. Rechters houden daar bij voorbaat al rekening mee en daar zijn talloze rechtszaken als precedent voor. En Steele werd door de rechter als betrouwbaar beoordeeld.quote:

Een duidelijke en coherente reactie van de democraten. Wat zowel uit hun reactie als de transcripten blijkt is dat Nunes zelf niet eens de onderliggende informatie heeft gelezen waarop dit alles is gebaseerd. Ik kan er met m'n kop niet bij hoe kinderlijk dit aangepakt is.
