Het blijft spannend om plaatsen 2 en 3, terwijl ook om 4-6 een mooie strijd is. Brazilië komt met alle teammedailles straks toch nog aardig opzetten. Al worden er nog maar 2 echt verwacht.

Chinezen hebben het in vergelijking met twee eerdere Spelen laten liggen in het gewichtheffen, het turnen en het badminton (allemaal ze nog wel gewoon de herendubbel en herenenkel kunnen winnen daar)
