heb ook S1 helemaal gezien, nog geen zin gehad met 2 te beginnen omdat het gewoon pure onzin is. Mensen keken denk ik in eerste instantie voor het interessante concept (geen stroom meer) maar als blijkt dat het gewoon slecht uitgewerkt is haken er veel kijkers af. The Originals was a given. The Vampire Diaries spin-off has averaged 2.7 million viewers and a 1.3 rating among adults 18-49 and The CW needs to keep at least one show for a full season. With its solid-ishy performance, the drama was clearly headed toward a pickup.
The Tomorrow People (2.4 million, 0.9) and Reign (2.1 million, 0.8) felt like one might survive while the other might not. Not because either are doing really well, exactly, but because The CW has limited inventory to play with (The CW has Twilight-but-with-aliens-romance Star-Crossed and Lost-meets-Avatar-meets-Lord of the Flies drama The 100 in the pipeline). Specifically, many in the industry expected Reign to get beheaded.
Explained CW president Mark Pedowitz: “In just a few seasons, we have built a much stronger primetime schedule. Our on-air ratings are up year to year, and our digital viewing continues to grow exponentially. We’re excited about the creative momentum the producers have established for all three of our new series, and now our fans will have the chance to see the full stories unfold for them this season. He has, apparently, turned that in, and can now focus on bringing the story of Will McAvoy, the popular news anchor who begins speaking truth-to-power, to a close.
Jeff Daniels won an Emmy for his portrayal of McAvoy in September. The show was still in limbo then, despite his having tweeted otherwise earlier in the month when he wrote that the show’s renewal was “official.” At the time, his tweet caused confusion; HBO issued a statement saying they were “excited” about a third season, and were having “conversations with Aaron about schedules.”
HBO’s press release Monday also said that Paul Lieberstein (a writer from The Office who is perhaps best known as Toby from The Office) will be an executive producer in Season 3. The show’s second season was nine episodes; HBO did not say how many there will be in The Newsroom’s final run.

Ik ben er na een aflevering of 10 mee gestopt en dat doe ik niet snel. Kijk zelfs nog Episodes en jezus dat is ook slecht zeg! Maar dit kon me nóg minder boeien, helaas.quote:

Niet meer dan logisch dat Drop Dead Diva afgesloten wordt. Dat is nou niet direct goede televisie. Maar dat geldt eigenlijk wel voor de meeste Lifetime series. Ze zijn daar niet in staat om goede acteurs aan te trekken. Een deel van de cast van Army Wives uitgezonderd.
