Ik kan heel goed begrijpen dat mensen keihard bewijs willen zien voordat ze aannemen dat we bezocht worden door buitenaardse wezens. Ik wil dat zelf ook graag. Maar is het nodig om bij UFO discussies een ja of nee standpunt in te nemen? Wat mij betreft niet. Wat voor mij wel vaststaat is dat er een serieuze kant zit aan het UFO fenomeen.
Aangezien we een paar honderd getuigen hebben in de vorm van kolonels, sergeanten, commandanten, majoor-generaals, ex-CIA, astronauten, gevechtspiloten, radarpersoneel, enz. die vol ernst hun verhaal vertellen over het UFO fenomeen, durf ik toch wel te zeggen dat er een serieuze kant zit aan het UFO fenomeen dat onze serieuze aandacht verdient.

Heb het boek nu grotendeels gelezen. Een goed boek, maar voor mensen die al veel docu's en interviews hebben gezien is het niet veel nieuws onder de zon.quote:

Ik heb toevallig even naar een filmpje over ufo sightings gekeken op Youtube. Vooral de formaties vond ik erg mooi. Niet of ze een soort dans opvoeren.

Een glashard ja of nee lijkt me een echte discussiestopper, of wel verzanden in een welles/nietus. In beide gevallen mondt het tot weinig uit...
Een open houding lijkt me dan beter: 'misschien bestaan ze en bezoeken ze ons'. Want idd, er zijn genoeg betrouwbare (zou je zeggen) getuigen op te sommen. Zie ook zeker het nut in van het onderzoeken van de mogelijkheid op buitenaards leven, en dan bedoel ik dus: intelligente levensvormen. En niet een nieuwe bacterie of schimmel wat met veel bombarie aangekondigd wordt eens in de zoveel tijd.

En die plotselinge bewegingen in de lucht op de Space Shuttle video's, daar heb ik nog nooit een goeie verklaring voor gehoord van de skeptici.
