Ik moet wel bekennen dat ik niet zoveel (of eigenlijk zelden) naar 3FM of zo luister, maar als ik iets hoor, dan is het allemaal zo een beetje als dat.

Beeb entertainment chief Mark Linsey admitted: ‘It’s not rocket science to say the spinning chairs were the best bit.’

Jessie J tweeted her excitement at returning for the show’s second series, hitting out at reports that producers were considering a reshuffle of the judging panel.
The Price Tag singer told her followers: ‘I WILL be a coach on the 2nd series of The Voice UK! I'm B B B BACK! As I have always said.

Ik vind dat nog niet heel bevestigend klinken. [/cynisch]

Ach ja, ze houden het een beetje spannend Ik denk dat ze gewoon terugkomen.

Ja, bij programma's die toch niet geheel volgens verwachting lopen qua kijkcijfers gaan ze zo'n "spannende" will they or won't they?-discussie aan vooraf fabriceren om de interesse op te wekken.

Precies, plus dat het nog even duurt voor het weer begint, volgend jaar pas. Ze moeten wel zorgen dat niemand het programma vergeet, dus af en toe een nieuwtje of schandaaltje tussendoor.

Tyler James wil dat Adele in de jury komt (alsof hij daar invloed op zou hebben )

The Radio 1 DJ described presenting the BBC One show earlier this year as an “incredible experience”, but was coy about whether or not he wanted to return for a second series.

Auditions for the new series, which will air on BBC One in the new year, have already started.

Reggie said: “The Voice as an incredible experience.

“I watched the show in the US and absolutely loved it, so when I was asked to be in the British version I was over the moon.

“We’ll see what happens [next year].”

The Voice UK coaches have been causing jealousy amongst other BBC stars over their vast fees for taking part in the BBC One series.

The deals given to The Voice UK’s coaches – Will.i.am, Jesise J, Sir Tom Jones and Danny O’Donoghue – haven’t gone down well with other stars.

And with the news that all four are set to return this year for a second series despite disappointing ratings, many have been left somewhat fustrated.

Will.i.am is understood to have got a whopping £600,000 for his first series, while Sir Tom scooped £300,000.

Even Danny’s £100,000 fee was above what most other stars – such as the Strictly Come Dancing judges – got for their last series.

According to the Daily Mail, various “household names” from BBC shows are angry over the huge wages.

One told the newspaper: “How can the BBC justify paying that much money to four part-time judges who work a few hours a week on a show that struggled?

“I’ve had to take a major pay cut and accept that I’ll probably never receive a pay increase again, even though I work on a successful show.”

Another added to the paper today: “There are brilliant presenters who work full-time for the BBC who get less than half of the money paid out to The Voice judges. It’s not fair.”

The Voice UK will return in the new year for a second series on BBC One.

In de VS is het op een commerciele zender. Verdienen ze er netto geld aan, dan was het blijkbaar niet te duur. De BBC wordt door de staat gefinancierd. Dus iedereen die zijn kijk- en luistergeld betaalt, betaalt er aan mee. Als het programma dan ook nog eens weinig vernieuwend is en geen extreme publieken trekt, kan ik me voorstellen dat dat scheve gezichten oplevert. Zeker als anderen (die wellicht meer vernieuwen en meer kijkers trekken) moeten inleveren.

Door dit artikel vraag ik me wel af wat de Nederlandse juryleden betaald krijgen. Wat mij vooral opvalt aan bovenstaande bedragen is de grote verschillen tussen wat het ene jurylid krijgt en wat de ander krijgt. Ik had gedacht dat ze allemaal hetzelfde krijgen eigenlijk.

Jessie J says The Voice UK 2013 will feature less sob stories

The Voice UK coach Jessie J has said that the second series of the show will see many changes, including fewer sob stories.

Speaking on Alan Carr’s Chatty Man tonight, Jessie admits she may get in trouble for hitting out at the amount of back stories featured on this year’s earlier series.

She said: “I am not a major fan of the whole back story and ‘Let’s all feel sorry for everyone.’

“It is a bit like: ‘Been there, done that, seen that.’ Isn’t it about the voice? I might get in trouble for this…”

But despite it being about The Voice, Jessie admitted her recent image change come about after seeing how she looked on the telly every weekend.

“I learned a lot about myself. Watching myself back, I am a bit irritating sometimes,” Jessie admitted. “The fringe decided to retire, too. I looked at a picture of myself and was like: ‘You look a bit scary.’ I was a becoming a bit of a cartoon.

“But I might go as myself for Halloween, like Jessie J’s past.”

And confirming her return to the panel, Jessie revealed how she forced show bosses to move the dates of next year’s auditions in order to allow her to come back.

“My tour dates and the dates of The Voice clashed, so I said: ‘I need to prioritise my tour and my fans.’” she explained. “I was really gutted so I called the head of the BBC and said ‘Can we talk about this? I don’t feel right.’

“I didn’t want to miss out, so I sat with them and we looked at the dates and we jigged things around and I was then able to do it.”
