Hanft werd op 3 april 1934 geboren in de Bronx, en ging daar naar de High School of Performing Art. Haar carrière in theater ging snel van start, vooral omdat ze speelde in experimentele theaterstukken.

Vaak speelde ze excentrieke en flamboyante personages in de toneelkomedies van Tom Eyen. Zo speelde ze in Sarah B. Divine, My Next Husband Will Be a Beauty en The White Whore and the Bit Player.

In de jaren zeventig was ze voor het eerst te zien in films, waaronder Allens Manhattan, Stardust Memories, The Purple Rose of Cairo en New York Stories. Verder speelde ze in films als Next Stop Greenwich Village en Willie and Phil van Marursky. Tot slot was ze nog te zien in films als Moonstruck, Used People en Dummy.

Verder was ze nog te zien in een reeks televisieseries en was ze vaak te zien in Law and Order.

Hanft overleed op 79-jarige leeftijd.

Monteith woonde de laatste jaren in Los Angeles, maar was Canadees van geboorte. Hij werd geboren in Calgary en groeide op in Victoria.

Dennis Burkley, who voiced Principal Carl Moss on "King of the Hill," has died. He was 67.

His agent confirmed to The Hollywood Reporter that Burkley died early Sunday (July 14) at home in his sleep. "He had been battling health problems for some time," reports the site, according to Burkley's son, Shawn.

The actor, identified on IMDb as "A 300 pound character actor who usually wears a beard and speaks with a southern accent," is also known for his roles in "The Doors," "Mark," "Tin Cup" and "No Way Out." He's been acting in cinema and on television since the '70s and his prolific roster ends in 2010. He'd also been teaching acting these past few years, while he was on "King of the Hill" and "My Name Is Earl."

According to his website, Burkley was born in a small town outside Dallas, Texas, and got his MFA in theater from Texas Christian University. In his first film he played alongside Arnold Schwarzenegger, then an unknown actor as well.

According to THR, Burkley is survived by his wife Laura and their daughter Shannan.

The That '70 Show actress is believed to have suffered a cardiac arrest and passed away after attempts to revive her failed.

Lisa, who endured a long struggle with alcohol addiction, checked herself into a treatment centre on Monday determined to clean herself up, according to her agent.

The spokesman confirmed toTMZ on Thursday: 'She had been fighting demons for a while and finally lost her battle.'

Lisa was brought to the rehab facility by her new boyfriend on Monday, the website reported.

But just two days later, emergency responders were called when the actress was found unresponsive with needle marks on both arms.

Her new boyfriend - whose identity is not known - claimed the needle marks are not drug-related but were caused by multiple attempts to draw blood after she was hospitalised on Sunday with a blood alcohol level of .34, TMZ reports.

The actress had been on somewhat of a downward spiral the last few years.

She was arrested at least four times in the last three years, for DUI, spousal abuse and assault.

She filed for divorce from her husband of just nine months, Robert Gilliam, last month after the pair's relationship took a violent turn.

She was best known for playing Eric's promiscuous sister, Laurie Forman, in That '70s Show, alongside Ashton Kutcher, between 1998 and 2003.

August Schellenberg, who famously played a Native American mentor in Free Willy, has died in Texas aged 77 after a long struggle with cancer.

Schellenberg died peacefully on Thursday while surrounded by friends and loved ones, a family member told TMZ.

Born of Swiss-German and Mohawk descent, the actor leaves behind a legacy of playing Native American characters on both TV and film.

He got his start at the National Theatre School of Canada, taking stage roles before soon transitioning to screen work.

Beyond playing role of Randolph in the entire Free Willy trilogy, Schellenberg received an Emmy nomination for his take on famed leader Sitting Bull in the 2007 HBO miniseries Bury My Heart At Wounded Knee.

He was also nominated for and won several Canadian screen awards, including a Genie for his performance in the much-praised period film Black Robe and a Gemini Award for the TV movie The Prodigal.

His most recent role came in the small-budget Canadian film The Last Movie, released in 2012.

In his personal life, Schellenberg enjoyed spending time in the kitchen and often participated in celebrity benefit cook-offs.

He took great pride in his heritage and supported several charities, such as The American Indian College Fund and The National Aboriginal Achievement Foundation, in light of that.

He also gave acting seminars around North America, notably at the Centre for Indigenous Theatre and York University, both based in Toronto.

Schellenberg is survived by his wife Joan Karasevich and three daughters.

He performed throughout Africa, Paris, and Beirut, showcasing gymnastic, juggling, and singing skills, according to a 2003 profile in The Believer. When he came to the United States, Pallana appeared on TV shows like Captain Kangaroo and The Pinky Lee Show. He was also an enthusiastic practitioner of meditation and yoga, detailing his breathing routine to the Dallas Morning News in 2004, “We begin with breathing. The key is repetition — if you do anything enough times, it becomes part of your nature.”

De Duitse acteur Otto Sander is overleden. Hij speelde vaak de rol van zware drinker. Zo was hij in de film Das Boot te zien als de laveloze onderzeebootkapitein Philipp Thomsen en speelde hij in de Blechtrommel de altijd beschonken trompettist Meyn.

Otto Sander was verder bekend vanwege zijn karakteristieke sonore stem, die in Duitsland zeer geliefd was. Hij was een van de meest gevraagde acteurs om stemmen in buitenlandse films na te synchroniseren.

Glansrollen

Een van zijn glansrollen op het toneel was die van de schoenmaker in het antimilitaristische toneelstuk Der Hauptmann von Köpenick. De schoenmaker gaat als officier gekleed de straat op en rekruteert een aantal soldaten met wie hij het stadhuis van de Berlijnse wijk Köpenick bezet. Het stuk is gebaseerd op een ware gebeurtenis uit 1906.

Otto Sander is 72 jaar geworden.

Zo schitterde de acteur in films zoals French Connection II (1975), Police Story (1976), Family Plot (1976), King Kong (1976), Death Hunt (1981), Cujo (1983), Raw Deal (1986), True Romance (1993), Thirteen Days (2000), The Longest Yard (2005), Seraphim Falls (2006), The Number 23 (2007) en The Artist (2011). Ook was Lauter in tv-series te aanschouwen, zoals Kojak, The A-Team, Miami Vice, Walker; Texas Ranger, The X-Files, Star Trek: the Next Generation en meer recentelijk ER, Grey's Anatomy en de Showtime-serie Shameless.

Edna Krabappel is in de populaire animatieserie lerares op de school van Bart Simpson.

Nee, ze wordt uit de serie geschreven.

Er is nog een karakter dat gaat verdwijnen en ze hebben zelfs even duidelijk moeten maken dat Krabappel niet hét karakter was dat ze zouden uitschrijven (was tijdje geleden bekend gemaakt).
