Now, the overwhelming majority of Egyptians have a deep, reverent respect for its antiquity (ask any Egyptian about the Ancient World and he/she will talk your ear off). Since the Muslim Brotherhood has been proudly open about its lack of respect of Ancient Egypt (calling it the time of the “Jahelliah” or “Idiocy”), they do not enjoy the support of many of the country’s citizens.
2.) If they cannot bring themselves to support Mubarak, they compared the Egyptian protesters to the American TeaParty movement – which is false. Again, the protesters – both Muslims and Coptic Christians are secular in nature and just want a shot at democracy. The American TeaParty, again, seek the supremacy of their religion (Evangelical Christianity) while oppressing minorities (Gays, Muslims, Latinos, Liberals) through “economic reform” (again, much like the Muslim Brotherhood).
Then they add the falsehood that somehow the wars in Iraq and Afghanistan made the Egyptian people clamor for freedom. THERE IS NO SUCH THING AS FREEDOM IN IRAQ AND AFGHANISTAN. The United States overthrew 2 extremely corrupt regimes in order to install extremely corrupt regimes that they wanted to do business with (just look up the last elections in both countries).
The true catalyst – for those with extremely short memories – was the overthrow of the dictatorship in Tunisia. Egyptian saw that and wanted to repeat that success in their own country.
Liberals, on the other hand, seem to think Wikileaks was the catalyst. That, too, is a falsehood. Egyptians have known all along how corrupt and brutal the Mubarak regime is. They just needed the courage to do something about it. (Again, see Tunisia.) (Also, many of the Egyptian-related Wikileaks were released TODAY, the 3rd day of the protests.)
Though EVERYONE in the government under Mubarak has been sacked, it’s going to be tough to get rid of the dictator himself. He’s backed by two powerful groups (that are not the United States Government): The U.S. Chamber of Commerce and Saudi mogul Prince Al-Walid Bin Talal.

Nee, ze zijn egoïstisch en denken dat ze machtig zijn, daar zit wel een verschil tussen. Amerika is zo failliet als ik weet niet wat en door het land waar jij zo trots op bent zijn de meeste nutteloze dingen opgevoerd en de meest nutteloze oorlogen gevoerd.

Stik in je Amerika en ik hoop dat er een atoombom op het pentago inclusief Washinton zal vallen en er een einde komt aan dat land. Wat mij betreft is Amerika de grootste dictatuur/oorlogsmisdadigers in de wereld en dat KUN je niet ontkennen.

Wat een gefrustreerde vmbo'er ben jij, geweldig. Hoe erg je je ook door op je pikkie getrapt voelt, Amerikas defensie budget is bijna de helft van dat van de hele wereld samen. En failliet zijn ze nog lang niet. Veel mensen denken dat hun schuld heel erg hoog is, maar in vergelijking met het BNP doen ze het beter dan veel Europese landen.

Ben blij dat ze Europa vrij hebben gehouden zodat mensen als jij hier kunnen wonen zonder het risico in een vernietigingskamp terecht tekomen. En ben blij dat ze zich met Egypte bemoeien. Als het leger zich daar tegen de bevolking keert is de internationale gemeenschap hulpeloos zonder bijdrage van de Amerikaanse krijgsmacht, zoals altijd.

Persoonlijk denk ik dat het volk verloren heeft. Het leger heeft zich gisteravond strategisch opgesteld en Mubarak laat het vandaag niet weer uit de hand lopen, het leger is veel sterker dan gisteren.
