Als je misschien geen zin hebt om het in 1 stuk door achter elkaar te luisteren van begin tot eind, dan kan ik je zeggen dat de beats en de lyrics héél goed op zichzelf staan. Ik had even een vraagje over een sample. Op de fijne BBQ mix tape Chillin' Illin Grillin' staat ook Sittin' on the dock of the bay van Otis Redding. Volgens mij heeft 1 van de mixers daar zelf een oldschool beat onder gezet; hij komt me wel bekend voor, maar weet niet waar hij van is. De mixtape staat hier:

Na 32 minuten begint de zgn. "Tanner's 93 til' Senility Blend" van Otis z'n classic. Iemand die weet welke beat eronder staat?

Beastie boys kan ik toch hardly kwalificeren als gangstarap; ook die eerste plaat niet. Ze nemen alles niet serieus en dat hoor je; da's het verschil met "echte" gangstarap. Gelukkig maar; rapperts die zichzelf niet al te serieus nemen maken vaak juist hele goede platen. Ondanks alle onzin die ze spuiden werd LTI ook goed gewaardeerd door de critici.
