Een reden waarom het niet perse erg is als McCain zou winnen. Volgens mij willen de Republikeinen niet eens winnen.

Wat denkt die muts wel niet? Als een van de twee de gehele waarheid zouden vertellen dan kan diegene het vergeten. Je moet wel winnen en een beetje sprookjes vertellen is nodig. In de VS, in Nederland en in Timboektoe.

De enige manier om het dan fout te doen is wanneer Democraten denken dat het gedaan is en vergeten om te stemmen.

Opposing Views: What Pentecostal values will Sarah Palin bring to the vice presidency that America needs right now?



George O. Wood: To my knowledge Sarah Palin has not stated she is Pentecostal. I know she has attended the Assemblies of God Church. We all want a candidate who shares our values, and a candidate like Sarah Palin who appears to have such strong Judeo-Christian beliefs is certainly someone our society needs. A candidate who is sincere in their following of Jesus Christ and is sincere in their Judeo-Christian beliefs is one we would support.

OV: Do you believe that Sarah Palin is a sincere Judeo-Christian candidate?



Wood: Her own words indicate that she is sincere in her following of Jesus Christ and she has certainly represented those values. Obviously she is very strong in her support for the unborn, and the Assemblies of God has a very strong commitment to the unborn, and other issues that Sarah Palin has indicated she sincerely follows the teachings of Jesus Christ.



OV: Can you provide more specific examples of how a candidate’s faith may influence his or her policy? For example, I know the evangelical church has been very active in the Third World and in addressing issues like poverty.



Wood: A true follower of Jesus Christ knows that belief influences every aspect of your life. You will learn how to live ethically, how to live responsibly. When you follow Jesus Christ you're not going to be profligate, and that's one answer to the AIDS epidemic. We're obviously very concerned about the humongous amount of orphans that are in the world, villages in the Third World that are without adequate drinking water, and we're helping to build wells in places like that. These are all humanitarian concerns that are fundamental. We feel like by addressing the spiritual conditions that we help people to care for themselves. It's been said there's a difference between teaching someone to fish and giving them a fish, and when a person becomes committed to Jesus Christ they learn how to live in a way that brings joy and great health and vitality to their community.


OV: Do you feel that Sarah Palin is someone will address America's spiritual condition



Wood: I don't think that's her job as a politician. I think her job as a politician is to govern well. I do think that character has an enormous influence. With people like Madonna and Britney Spears and Lindsay Lohan as such poor examples of morality to young women in our culture, it would be helpful to have a woman of both Sarah Palin's character and integrity become a role model to girls in our society.

RICHMOND, VA — Palin addressed thousands of supporters in the parking lot of the Richmond International Speedway and told the racing fans that they have experience with close races comparing the 2008 campaign to a NASCAR race.

“I understand you all know a little something about close races. One of them very recently the Chevy Rock and Roll 400. It was held here. I hear it was quite a thrill. The lead going back and forth lap after lap nobody knew who was going to win right up to the finish line.” Palin said, “Well John McCain and I are nearing the finish line here too of another close race and you know it is looking a lot like that Rock and Roll 400. Our race is gonna be close. It’s gonna be a real sprint to the finish line and it is a long way from being decided and that is why John and I are taking our cause for reform to every voter of every background all across this great nation.”

She told the excited crowd that with Virginia’s help the GOP ticket will be, “victorious on the checkered flag waving day November 4th.”

The massive crowd of over 10,000 –holding signs that read “I’m Voting for the Chick” and “Keep Virginia Red– had problems hearing the governor of Alaska and supporters in the back started chanting, “Louder! Louder! Louder!” In an awkward moment, Palin mistakenly thought protestors were interrupting her speech, “I would hope at least that those protestors have the courage and the honor of thanking our veterans for giving them the right to protest.”

The audience began yelling, “No!” and tried to alert the GOP Vice-Presidential nominee to speak louder.

Her husband, Todd then leaned over and explained to his wife that they were enthusiastic supporters not protestors, “They just can’t hear you back there. That’s it.” Todd whispered in Palin’s ear, but it is audible on the camera microphone.

The audio did not get better, but Palin continued and went after Barack Obama saying he will limit gun rights, “We believe in the forward movement of freedom, not the constant expansion of government. And though Barack Obama disagrees, that freedom includes-that freedom includes the rights and liberties under the 2nd Amendment.”

On the Democratic nominee’s website it states Barack Obama will actually protect gun rights, “Barack Obama believes the Second Amendment creates an individual right, and he respects the constitutional rights of Americans to bear arms. He will protect the rights of hunters and other law-abiding Americans to purchase, own, transport, and use guns.”

With Election Day Nearing, Distasteful Rhetoric a Two-Party Problem
John McCain's not the only candidate whose supporters are using distasteful rhetoric on the campaign trail.

John McCain has taken a lot of heat from critics who say he's stoking anger and intolerance among his supporters.

But the Republican nominee is not the only one with supporters whose comments and demonstrations on the race are obscene and, in some cases, violent.

An array of T-shirts, for instance, displaying the image of Sarah Palin and some variation of the "C-word" are gaining new popularity as Election Day nears. A group of protesters outside Palin's fundraiser in Philadelphia Saturday wore shirts emblazoned with the words, "Sarah Palin Is a C--T."

Cafe Press is selling a slew of off-color Palin T-shirts, including the one spotted in Philadelphia. (Granted, a shirt with the words "Barack Obama Is a Can't" is also for sale on the site.)

The Portland Tribune also reported over the weekend that two men in Oregon were arrested for throwing a Molotov cocktail at a large McCain campaign sign, igniting part of the structure.

And on Monday at a McCain rally in North Carolina, an Obama supporter stood outside and repeatedly yelled, "McCain is a murderer."

One woman yelled back: "He fought for your right to say that."

Republicans argue that while neither campaign can curtail every action of its supporters, McCain is being unfairly depicted as the only candidate who attracts audience members with extreme views.

"It's something that we recognize -- that neither campaign has complete control over their supporters," McCain spokesman Tucker Bounds told FOXNews.com. "We've stood firmly behind our effort to try to hold our rallies to a higher level, and certainly we would expect the same from Barack Obama.

"It is clear that on many occasions they have failed to keep their supporters above board," he added. "(Voters) should understand that this is a phenomenon that plays itself out at both campaigns."

Indeed, both candidates are still attracting rowdy supporters.

The mini-altercation in North Carolina took place a few hundred yards from a sign that read "NOBAMA" featuring side-by-side pictures of Obama and Usama bin Laden.

Politico.com posted a photo snapped at the McCain rally earlier in Virginia Beach showing audience members holding up signs that say: "Obama Bin Lyin'."

Bounds said the McCain campaign condemns such signs.

Georgia Rep. John Lewis, a civil rights icon, accused McCain over the weekend of "sowing the seeds of hatred and division," and compared his rallies to the "climate" created by segregationist Alabama Gov. George Wallace.

The Lewis statement came after supporters at McCain's rallies repeatedly yelled words like "socialist" and "terrorist" when the Republican candidate was discussing Obama.

But both campaigns seem to be making an effort to dial back negative rhetoric, or at least calm down their crowds.

Obama scolded his audience Monday in Toledo when they began booing at the very mention of McCain. "We don't need that," he said. "We just need to vote."

McCain corrected a woman Friday who said Obama is "an Arab," drawing boos from the crowd.

The Arizona senator, who objected to the Lewis statement, hasn't been taking questions from his audience since last week, and on Monday made no mention of 1960s radical William Ayers. His campaign has used Obama's ties to Ayers in recent weeks to question the Democratic candidate's character and judgment.

The charge did come up, however, when country music star Hank Williams Jr. played a warm-up act at a Palin rally in Richmond, Va., Monday. His song lyrics included reference to the "left-wing liberal media" and said the Republican running mates "don't have radical friends to whom their careers are linked."

Speaking in Rochester, N.H., Monday, Joe Biden criticized McCain for launching "new attacks" on Obama.

"John McCain wants to attack Barack Obama," Biden said. "Barack Obama wants to attack America's economic problems. It is that basic. It is that basic right now."

Democratic strategist Jehmu Greene said the offensive audience-member comments don't belong in the race on either side.

"There are fringe elements on all sides of the spectrum, and that's what we're seeing right now," she told FOX News.

But Chip Saltsman, former campaign manager for Mike Huckabee, told FOX News that Obama has not taken the steps McCain has to settle down his supporters and rein in bad behavior.

"Barack Obama needs to come out and say, 'My supporters should not do this'," he said.

Hoe lang blijf je nog krampachtig volhouden laforest met je Palin geblaat? Tot nu toe heb ik helemaal niks van haar gezien dat maar ergens op sloeg (een geile knipoog daargelaten). En begin al helemaal niet met dat christelijke gezwets want als er 1 ding gescheiden moet blijven is het wel kerk en staat. Palin moest het worden voor McCain maar je ziet dat hij er niet op kan bouwen en daarom houdt hij haar maar op de achtergrond. Grote fout van McCain want Obama kan Biden zo in het veld sturen als het moet.

Obama wordt een terrorist genoemd omdat de republicans vet aan het verliezen zijn. Dan worden mensen smerig en gaan ze uiterlijke kenmerken van iemand tegen hem gebruiken. Bij Obama is het de huidskleur en zijn naam. Toevallig heeft hij ooit in een liefdadigheids organisatie gezeten met iemand die in het verleden dingen heeft opgeblazen. Ze waren geen vrieden. Punt. Het feit dat Obama in een liefdadigheidsorganisatie zat speeld blijkbaar helemaal niet?

Obama heeft echt muur op muur van goede plannen om America weer een sterk en mooi land te maken. McCain heeft NIETS, maar dan ook NIETS positiefs of nieuws laten zien dat hij wil doen om mijn land beter te maken. niets. Zijn campagne is 100% negatief tegenover zijn tegenstander, maar darmee ook 100% negatief tegenover zijn landgenoten. Want wij verdienen geen plannen voor een betere toekomst, wij verdienen blijkbar alleen maar beloftes dat we op hem moeten stemmen als we geen "terrorist" als leider willen...

Ik ben het gewoon zat, dat mijn land continue wordt verkloot door de Republikeinen. Zo erg zelfs, dat als McCain wint, ga ik dus nooit meer terug.

de VS blijft gewoon nog steeds gesplitst in north en south. Dat gaat nooit veranderen, de mensen in het zuiden worden gewoon dom en arm gehouden zodat ze keer op keer blind op de grootste god-kont-likker stmmen ongeacht of hij nout de duivel zelf zou zijn. Als hij/zij maar zegt dat ie in god geloofd is het goed.

Echt belachelijk, ik schaam me echt diep voor dat soot mensen, en ik neem het niemand kwalijk als ze Amerikanen bestempelen als achterlijke rednecks...
