Dar kun je nog veeeeeeeeel meer aanpassen en nieuwe features vinden dan in de oude foksilver-layout.

Een 1e vrije training zegt eigenlijk nog niet veel. Helemaal omdat er in het begin natte omstandigheden waren.

Overigens zet Heikki zich ook nog even boven Rosberg neer Lichte wagens aan het eind, opdrogende baan enz. enz. enz. Allemaal mogelijke verklaringen voor de uiteindelijke uitslag

World championship leader Lewis Hamilton is one of three drivers under investigation by the race stewards at the Brazilian Grand Prix for breaching the wet weather tyre rules.

McLaren's Hamilton, Honda's Jenson Button, and Super Aguri's Takuma Sato were deemed to have used two sets of wet weather tyres during the first free practice session at Interlagos, in breach of the Sporting Regulations.

Article 25.3 of the F1 Sporting Regulations states: "No driver may use more than one set of wet and one set of extreme weather tyres during P1 and P2."

The matter was brought to the race stewards' attention by FIA technical delegate Jo Bauer, and it is not clear at this stage whether or not the drivers involved will face any sanction.

The stewards will likely look into the matter after the conclusion of today's second free practice session.

Formula One driver Lewis Hamilton has been told to keep a lid on his podium celebrations should he win the title in Monday morning's Brazilian season-ender, according to McLaren team boss Ron Dennis.

Hamilton, the 22-year-old British rookie has led the overall standings since April and is poised to become the youngest ever world champion.

He is four points ahead of team mate and double champion Fernando Alonso and seven clear of Ferrari's Kimi Raikkonen.

"There are regulations that govern the post-race procedures," Dennis said. "We are in a heightened atmosphere of compliance, and we were told to please make sure we strictly adhered to the regulations."

"I suppose their thoughts were (related to) the youthful behaviour Lewis may have (shown) if he would have been in the fortunate position of winning the world championship."

However an FIA spokesman cast doubt on Dennis's assertion.

"There are very clear podium procedures which all the teams must respect but the rumours that any special instructions were imparted to McLaren are, I'm afraid, more than a little far-fetched," he said.

Dennis, whose team were fined $100 million and stripped of all their constructors' points after a spying controversy with Ferrari earlier this year, said the reminder was issued to McLaren's team manager.

Kom op, lees er doorheen. Dit is gewoon 'spin' van McLaren. Die hele podium procedure is al lang geleden vastgelegd. Het staat Lewis vrij alle champagne op te drinken, te juichen of te springen. De Fia heeft ze gewoon herinnerd aan het feit dat Ron Dennis niet op het podium mag staan (deel van de straf, maar ook logisch omdat ze als constructeur niet winnen).

Lewis Hamilton has found a secret tutor for his crucial showdown with bitter rival Fernando Alonso - the Spaniard himself.

The canny 22-year-old has ordered a stack of videos of how his McLaren-Mercedes team-mate wrapped up the last two world titles here at the Brazilian Grand Prix.

And he has also studied the way Alonso's legendary predecessor Michael Schumacher grabbed a record five successive world titles.

Hamilton is treading virgin ground as he attempts to become the first rookie champion in the sport's 57-year history and achieve a feat that would make him greater than both of them.

Even with the world watching he could afford a little joke at his own expense over his China visit to the sand-trap two weeks ago and said he had already done another bit of valuable research.

"I've checked and there is no gravel in the pit lane entry here," he joked. "I am going to do the same job as always but try to stay on the track this time!"

How do you begin to describe this boyman who, less than 26 racing hours after his Grand Prix arrival, could be crowned champion.

Sitting feet away from the humble Hamilton yesterday, it was difficult not to be impressed as he shoulders the hopes of a nation in his first season. At this level being competitive is tough enough for most rookies, winning is beyond all but the elite. Beating a champion even once is a rare event, leading one for most of the season was unheard of until now. And if he beats him to the title? All in his very first year? Amazing.

Many believe Hamilton has already earned the right to wear a Superman outfit. And yesterday he said he's love to do just that - and copy the exploits of MotoGP legend Valentino Rossi who meets his fans on his celebration lap, grabs his national flag and dons wacky Batman or Superman outfits for the podium celebrations.

"Look at the way the fans hug him on the bike after a race. I'm not saying I want everyone to hug me but it would be cool to do the things he does. It does so much for the sport," he added.

The unique individual that he is, Hamilton said he is willing to risk the wrath of FIA officials and his own team if he finally manages to grasp his own dream and win.

"If someone passes me a Union Jack on the slowing down lap it'd be cool to fly it. My hero Ayrton Senna used to do it here. Massa did it last year. That'd be cool."

And he also promised to break another taboo if he triumphs and hurl his £2million race machine in a tyre-screaming, engine-wrecking circle known as a donut before getting out of the car.

"If I win I'll definitely do it," added Hamilton. "When a race finishes it's dull. You never see drivers doing donuts. It would be cool to finish a race and do a donut.

"The teams don't like it because you could break something but if it breaks I'll pay for it. I doubt they'd be happy but I'd do it anyway."

Behind a calm that is eery for one so young there is a glint that the enormity of what he could achieve is finally beginning to sink in.

"To be honest I try not to think about it," he added. "It blows my mind."

When he walked the track on Thursday to study every bump of this notorious track, he was asked if there was any growing sense of how it would feel when the empty grandstands are groaning under the weight of passionate Brazilian fans, the klaxons sound and the deafening samba drums strike up?

He added: "No, not really. Actually I love the track. It's a real racers' circuit." The perfect place for his coronation then.
