Had ik gezien, ik vond het echter wel een leuk contrast om die 2 artikelen onder elkaar te zetten, het lijkt imho wel of ze het over 2 verschillende zaken hebben, 1e art: 2 radeloze ouders die hun kind kwijt zijn en 2e art: een stel maniakale moordenaars die er alles aan doen om niet gepakt te worden.quote:Op dinsdag 25 september 2007 09:46 schreef Suko het volgende:

Er is geen bewijs, ipv dat ze verder zoeken om de zaak rond te krijgen willen ze 1 van de ouders breken, gelukkig zijn ze arguido en hebben ze recht op een advocaat die ze bij kan staan.
Ik vind dat dit soort zaken opgelost moeten worden met deugdelijk bewijs en niet met een bekentenis, je hebt het wel over moord.

Ik meen zelfds dat Gerry dat ook ergens zei, dat het vaste slapers waren en ook nog sliepen ondanks al het volk, kan dat stukje ff niet vinden. Maar wie er nu allemaal in die slaapkamer waren achteraf en wie de twins uit bed heeft/hebben gehaald blijft onduidelijk.
@ Kahaarin, daar heb je ergens wel gelijk in. De wanhopig onschuldigs ouders versus de Portugese politie die er van overtuigd is dat de McCanns Madeleine hebben vermoord, al of niet opzettelijk. Er lijkt geen tussenweg, hakken in het zand aan beide kanten, op verschillende planeten, dat schiet echt niet op.

Alles wat ze zegt over wat er al dan niet is gebeurd voordat ze in het app aankwam is speculatie, ik vind (eigen mening) het niet zo belangrijk wie de kinderen uit bed heeft gehaald, of het nu de politie was om onderzoek te kunnen doen of 1 van de vrienden om ze uit het tumult te halen, in mijn ogen is dat bijzaak, er is nooit bewezen dat ze medicijnen hebben gehad, vermoedelijk is dat gewoon geboren uit een losse opmerking van een persoon daar ter plaatse en is dat een eigen leven gaan lijden.
De politie heeft trouwens helemaal geen aanleiding nodig gehad om geruchten te verspreiden, de duim was blijkbaar groot genoeg....

Het is en blijft die verdomde Portugese wet dat er zo weinig bekend is wie/wat heeft verklaard, dat is voor iedereen een enorm struikelblok. Qua tijd wanneer de politie echt arriveerde hou ik het maar op de BBC, die houdt het altijd heel sobertjes: "Mrs McCann said police were called within 10 minutes of finding her daughter gone. Guilhermino Encarnacao, director of the judicial police in the Faro region, said officers arrived within 10 minutes of being alerted, and an investigation unit began work within 30 minutes."

British police involved in the Madeleine McCann case believe her parents will not be charged. Leicestershire officers say there is insufficient evidence for a prosecution over the disappearance of their daughter during a holiday on the Algarve. It is also unlikely that the couple will be questioned by British detectives, according to a source close to the investigation. And there are doubts about the force's continuing involvement in the probe, with its role said to be "hanging by a thread".
The revelation comes as a nanny at the Praia da Luz resort claimed that Briton Robert Murat was in the Ocean Club complex on the night of Madeleine's disappearance on 3 May, something he has denied. Murat remains an arguido, an official suspect under Portuguese law, as do the McCanns.
A source who has knowledge of the Leicestershire inquiry, said: "It looks like the case is moving away from the McCanns and officers here feel it is unlikely they will be charged." He added: "It is not clear how much longer Leicestershire police will be involved in the investigation."
The source also revealed that there are divisions within the ten-strong Leicestershire investigation team over the McCanns' involvement. "There are differences of opinion even between the investigating officers in Leicester," he said. The source added: "For a long time Leicestershire police had no input into the investigation. They have not been totally involved. The British police aren't party to all the information Portuguese police have. They are holding stuff back."
Criticism has also centred on the initial handling of the inquiry. "The Portuguese failed to clear the ground under their feet. They didn't look at the family first,î he said. "There is not much in the DNA evidence and the Forensic Science Service in Birmingham has already had a go at them about the way it has been twisted."
Pressure for the Portuguese police to clear the McCanns is likely to increase after claims about Mr Murat being at the apartment block shortly after Madeleine's disappearance.
Charlotte Pennington, 20, a nanny at the Mark Warner complex, said: "He was outside the lobby just before we started our big search. He was adamant that he wasn't there. But he was. He was there in the road, he was just looking. It was about 10.30pm. He was just watching." Murat has insisted he was at his home nearby throughout the evening.
There were also claims in Portugal today that prosecutors are to write to the seven friends the McCanns were dining with at a nearby tapas bar asking them to return for more questioning. Leicestershire police have consistently refused to comment on its role in the investigation and directed all questions to Portugal.
A spokeswoman said: "As the inquiry into the disappearance of Madeleine McCann is a Portuguese police investigation it is not appropriate for us to comment on it. Our role is to assist the Portuguese authorities, when and if they request it, with UK based inquiries. (2) Krijg je ook niet een beetje het gevoel dat die dame in kwestie zelf al die media ook wel spannend vind?
Vooral frappant dat ze pas doorkreeg dat het Murat was toen ze het in de krant zag en dat ze iemand die staat te kijken naar de commotie zo sterk in zich op heeft genomen, knap als je bedenkt dat er chaos was en iedereen aan het zoeken was naar een klein meisje in pyama.
Natuurlijk wordt dit aangegrepen door het kamp McCann, het is een strohalmpje waar ze zich weer een poosje aan vast kunnen houden, het is wel de Daily Mail die het bericht, ik vind het een heel logisch gevolg dat de McCanns beweren dat ze vrijgesproken gaan worden, er is immers geen draadje bewijs, alleen innuendo en halve aanwijzingen.

Day 144 - 24/09/2007
It is just over 2 weeks since we returned home from Portugal. The major news in that time is that we have not been charged with any offences regarding Madeleine’s disappearance. It is encouraging that the prosecutor has stated that all lines of enquiry remain open and we have not given up hope of finding Madeleine alive. It is good to see at least some attention re-focussing on finding Madeleine.
Sean and Amelie have settled back in at home very well but they do miss their older sister and we talk about her every day. For Kate and I it has been incredibly difficult to come home without Madeleine but particularly in such circumstances. Our family and friends have rallied round again as they have throughout this entire nightmare and they have also helped keep on top of the huge amount of mail from well wishers. At times our kitchen has looked like a sorting office! We would like to thank everyone for their support. It helps us keep sight of the fact that the great majority of people in this world are good.
Kate and I have been very busy with our legal advisers as we want to be eliminated from the inquiry as soon as possible and start concentrating wholeheartedly again on the search for our daughter. We are very confident this will happen when all the facts are presented together. We are very grateful and thankful to have several businessmen who have pledged financial support to cover legal costs and we were delighted Clarence Mitchell agreed to help us as an official spokesman. It is scary and daunting to imagine how we could have managed to deal with these latter ‘developments’ without such offers of support and commitment. Clarence will try and minimise the impact of the huge media interest in Madeleine’s disappearance on us, as we try and return slowly towards as normal a life as is possible. Although we will NEVER give up on Madeleine, we have to find the right balance for Sean and Amelie so they too do not suffer unnecessarily.
In the meantime we will continue to cooperate fully with the Portuguese authorities. I will update the blog periodically especially if there is any major development.

@ kahaarin, mee eens. Deze getuige komt ook zomaar out of the blue, de Daily Mail is niet echt een tabloid maar ik heb onderhand veel reserves, veel...afwachten wie er allemaal nog voor het 'voetlicht' (wíl) komen, ik laat me verrassen...

Although we will NEVER give up on Madeleine, we have to find the right balance for Sean and Amelie so they too do not suffer unnecessarily.
In the meantime we will continue to cooperate fully with the Portuguese authorities. I will update the blog periodically especially if there is any major development.
