Trump signed an executive memorandum on Thursday that is set to impose tariffs on up to $60 billion in Chinese imports. "This is the first of many" trade actions, the president said. The new measures will primarily target certain products in the technology sector where Beijing holds an advantage over Washington.

That followed Trump's executive order earlier this month that imposed broad duties on foreign aluminum and steel imports — an action that many believe could trigger a global trade war.

Chinese President Xi Jinping's administration is widely expected to targetU.S. soybeans.

An editorial in the state-run Global Times tabloid this week said U.S. subsidies for its soybean farmers have given them an unfair competitive advantage in selling to China, warning that strong restrictive measures were needed to prevent dumping.

Nee, die factchecks gaan niet alleen daar over, maar worden geplukt van vertrouwde factcheckersites ... (factcheck, snopes en nog wat dacht ik?)

Als je merkt dat daar wat mee is, meldt het svp zodat ze eea kunnen bijwerken.

Op een favo subreddit van mij /r/skeptic wordt btw wel negatief gereageerd tov deze site echter, voor wat het waard is, maar kennelijk neemt niemand de moeite om dit te melden... of is er niet zoveel daadwerkelijk feitelijk onjuists te melden op het nieuws front. Althans, dit verondersteld dan weer vertrouwen in mediabiasfactcheck, maar ik ben nog niet echt iets tegengekomen om daar heel erg over te twijfelen.
