Wat gaan we nou weer doen, Falco?
Op andere subfora zijn er al diverse survivalgames georganiseerd, maar nog niet in dit forum. Tijd dat daar verandering in komt: we gaan survivalgamen
Oh, en hoe werkt dat dan?
Het principe is vrij simpel: er wordt begonnen met een lijst van films die een gelijk aantal punten hebben. Vervolgens mag elke user één keer op dag twee minpunten en één pluspunt toekennen aan drie verschillende films. Als een film op 0 punten terecht komt, doet ie niet meer mee. De film die als laatste overblijft heeft gewonnen!
In dit geval heb ik de Imdb-top 250 van zondagavond 18 februari in vijf gelijke delen willekeurig opgedeeld. In de eerste poule zitten dus 50 films, die bij aanvang ieder 7 punten hebben gekregen. Vervolgens gaan we in de poulefase zo ver dat er 10 films overblijven (de overige 40 films zijn naar 0 punten gestemd). Na 5 poules strijden de 50 overgebleven films in de allesbeslissende finale . Tot zover de organisatie van de survivalgame!

Klinkt allemaal erg leuk! Zijn er nog andere huishoudelijke regels?
Nou niet hele strikte regels enzo, maar probeer bijvoorbeeld wel een beetje gevarieerd te stemmen. Elke dag -1 voor twee LotR-films en +1 voor Terminator 2 doen is niet echt heel tof ofzo. Je stemmen dienen ten opzichte van de vorige dag op minstens twee films verschillen. Je kunt dus wel telkens elke dag op dezelfde LotR-film stemmen. Verder mag je de lijst wel kopiëren bij het toekennen van de stemmen, maar ik vrees dat dat een zootje zou kunnen worden. Ik houd het in ieder geval apart bij in een kekke excelsheet en zal vrijwel elke dag een update plaatsen met de tussenstand .
En ohja ook hier geldt natuurlijk de welbekende tournamentregel: alleen stemmen op een film als je hem gezien hebt!

.Wisselen met tegenstanders kan niet. Deelnemers strijden eerst tegen elkaar in poules van 50 dus. Een grote lijst van 250 films in een keer had ook gekund, maar dan had ik teveel moeten scrollen in excel om het bij te houden en daarbij leidt zo'n poulefase (denk ik) telkens tot leuke wedstrijden onderling: wie haalt wel of juist niet de finale.

Zit je niet met het probleem dat de vrij onbekende films in de middenmoot blijven hangen, zodat je uiteindelijk stilvalt? Een hoop bekende films zijn er dan uit, een aantal weet stand te houden, en dan heb je er nog een paar waarvan slechts een handjevol ze gezien heeft. En die mensen zijn die films ook niet gaan kijken met de verwachting dat ze kut zijn, dus tegenstemmen zullen de meesten ook niet. Om te stemmen moet je minstens drie films gezien hebben, waarvan je er twee slecht vindt. Op den duur kom je dus in een patstelling, of zie ik dit nu verkeerd?

Ik ga geen plusstemmen geven aan films die het slecht doen en die ik er in wil houden, ze moeten er blijkbaar uit, dat kan ik in mijn eentje toch nooit tegenhouden, weggegooide punten.

Ik heb het even nagekeken. Bij Gunner had ik vreemd genoeg +1 bij GBU gedaan ipv Schindlers List . Dat komt uit op 9 ipv 8. Verder heb ik ge-CTRL-f'd op 'List' ipv 'Schindler'. Best wel inderdaad. Overigens gedeeltelijk te wijten aan de posts die ik hier heb gelezen over de film. Die waren namelijk nogal positief. Het was absoluut geen slechte film, maar van de overgebleven films waar ik mijn punten aan wil verspillen vind ik Inheret the Wind één van de mindere. De film bestaat voornamelijk uit een rechtzaak (wat bijvoorbeeld al beter is gedaan in Anatomy of a Murder een jaartje eerder) en de potentiele mogelijkheden van de inhoud daarvan werden mijns inziens niet genoeg benuttigd. Het acteerwerk was O.K., maar zeker niet meer dan dat. Een aantal karakters vond ik ongeloofwaardig voor een film die zich op een waargebeurd incident baseert. Donnie Darko, Lock stock en Terminator 2 zouden dan alsnog een keer kunnen strijden tegen elkaar. Ik zelf sta vrij neutraal tegen dit voorstel, maar misschien dat anderen het wel een tof idee vinden?
edit: de waarde van een plusstem zou iig meer waarde krijgen in zo'n systeem. Het 'vechten-tegen-de-bierkaai'-principe (dus niet plusstemmen op een film die al op maar 1 schamel puntje staat) zou dan niet geldig hoeven te zijn.
