That there are many gods and many ways of worshipping. That people die and are reborn many times as other living things. That there is a universal soul or principle known as Brahman. That the goal of life is to escape the cycle of birth and death and become part of the Brahman. This is achieved by leading a pure and good life.

In 2002, there were nearly 830 million Hindus, mainly in India and places where people from India have gone to live.

There are many kinds of Hindus, who worship different gods or goddesses.
Islam
Who Started Islam?

What Do Muslims Believe?
People who believe in Islam are known as Muslims. The word "Islam" means submission to God. Muslims believe that there is no other god than the one God; that Muhammad is the prophet and lawgiver of his community; that they should pray five times a day, fast during the month of Ramadan, give to the poor, and once during their life make a pilgrimage to Mecca in Saudi Arabia if they can afford it.

In 2002, there were more than one billion Muslims, mostly in parts of Africa and Asia. The two main branches are: Sunni Muslims, who make up over 80 percent of all Muslims today, and Shiite Muslims, who broke away in a dispute over leadership after Muhammad died in 632.

In 2002, there were about 14.5 million Jews living around the world. Many live in Israel or the United States.
What Kinds Are There?
In the United States there are three main kinds: Orthodox, Conservative, and Reform. Orthodox Jews are the most traditional. Traditional means that they follow strict laws about how they dress, what they can eat, and how they conduct their lives. Conservative Jews follow many of the traditions. Reform Jews are the least traditional.

Jodendom is dus een relatief kleine groep gelovigen. Maar ze zijn zo bekend door de holocaust. En natuurlijk zijn er enorm veel Joden gestorven tijdens de tweede wereld oorlog. Het is ook niet makkelijk Joods te zijn aangezien je constant een zondebok bent. Christene schelden op Joden vanwege de dood van Christus omdat ze zeggen dat zij Jezus hebben vermoord wat niet waar is. Ten eerste heeft Pontius Pilatus hem laten veroordelen en hij was Romeins. Ten tweede is hij volgens de Bijbel voor en door God gestorvendus als je iemand de schuld wilt geven voor de dood van Jezus Christus dan is het nog altijd God.
Dus niet zo vreemd dat het geloof niet groot is. Daarbij komt nog dat het lange tijd verboden was voor Joden om met een niet Jood te trouwen.
