First, I apologize for writing in English. I know this is a Dutch forum, but I'm still learning. I haven't been in the Netherlands long, having come from another country in search of a better future.

I was advised to post my case here because I need advice. The temporary employment agency I came with didn't honor the contract. What was supposed to be a full-time job with my own room turned into odd days for which I haven't even been paid, and they terminated the contract with the excuse that the company didn't need any more staff at that time. Several of us have had the same problem. Some are returning to their countries or looking for something different with the help of family or contacts, but personally, I'm devastated.

I came with nothing, as I was ruined in my country (I'm 28 years old), and here I have nowhere to go and no way to find work. I don't have any contacts here to find out about my labor rights or to file a complaint because I don't think they can do anything about it.

If you know of any charity that provides food or clothing, I would be very grateful. It took me a lot of effort to save up to get here, and this situation has caught me with very few resources.
Obviously, this is real, and I can prove it without any problem. Happy holidays to everyone.

@Astora33_ I'm sorry to hear you are having such a rough time in the Netherlands, and hope things will be better soon.

Two questions that could help guide you to appropriate resources:

1. Are you a citizen of an EU country?
2. In which Dutch city are you based currently?

So you haven’t been paid despite having worked? That sounds like another disgusting modern slavery company. You could contact the Juridisch Loket, they provide free legal support: https://www.juridischloke(...)r-betaalt-loon-niet/

But he does need evidence that he has actually worked.

Leger des Heils in Venlo is a good option, but maybe you also want to seek legal advice about your situation and what your rights are.

An employment contract must have been signed, otherwise the OP wouldn’t have come to the Netherlands in the first place. He should receive a final settlement after the contract has been terminated. But getting legal advice never hurts. I also don’t film myself or anything while I’m working, so I have no idea what evidence I’d have other than a signed contract.

Somewhere there should be written which employee has worked where but I'm sure these people are experts in forgery with papers.

Perhaps the other colleagues that worked for this employer and/or via this employment agency and are in a similar situation? Might be worth contacting the "Juridisch Loket" all together (or at least together with those that are still in the Netherlands).
pi_219602424
What are you hoping for?
A way to force the employment agency to give you housing and a fulltime job like agreed on in the contract? If so, the contract must be absolutely clear about it.
Would you be willing to go back to your own country again, even though you got ruined there?
Or are you looking for shelter and a possibillity to find different work through a different agency?
In greenhouses they often still are looking for workers; a neighbour of mine who is from Romania and doesn't even speak English has found a job at such a place. Since you most likely aren't forced to stay in Venlo, you could look all over the country for a job.
There are lots of appartements that are full of Polish workers where you perhaps could rent a bed, but you have to share the room with multiple other workers then. You probably do need some money first to get a place to stay; payment in advance of course, unless you can get a similar (untrustworthy?) contract like what you already have.

Kick to Werk, Geldzaken, Recht en de Beurs for not having been paid and basically a breach of contract?

For charity you could try FOK!kers helpen FOK!kers or look around for clothing banks, Leger Des Heils or other foundations in the city where you stay now.
If you are homeless, you could for instance start selling homeless newspapers at supermarkets (something what many people don't like to be confronted with but at least it will earn you a bit.)

Going back to your own country might perhaps indeed be the best. How were you ruined there? Financially so you have no money for a trip back and build your life up there again?

Good luck!

If it is money to buy a ticket back to your country your best chance is to go to your local municapality.
Most cities help migrant workers to go back whenever they have lost their job and housing.

If you want legal advice then FHF is not the right subforum. WGR is the best subforum for that.

So what questioms do you want to have answered? @Astora33_

I would like to be able to find a job here instead of returning, I have no one in my country or to return to... but in my situation, on the street and without resources, it is very complicated.

It's very unlikely anyone can help you with that. Your best advice is to return anyway and the city of Venlo can help you with that. Call 14077 on monday for that help.

I don't mean to bother you, but it would be appreciated. I have very few resources and I'm just getting by as best I can. There's nothing I can do if this agency doesn't pay.

The agency took away my room when they let me go, but another employee is secretly letting me sleep on his sofa in his campsite room. Otherwise, I'd be out on the street. Obviously, I have to get out of this situation as soon as possible because they'll end up catching me...

Ahhh wow, that is so nice of that employee!
But indeed you quickly need something more permanent.
The question is: how?
I guess you don't have any money to pay a month rent in advance for a house or appartment (plus key money or whatever extras they expect).
In tiny villages it is possible to find something relatively quickly; I found a place to stay within a few weeks when I had to sell my house a long time ago.
But for now it is more realistic to look for something similar that was promised to you with that contract, but of course it will have the same dangers.
pi_219604414
Also; how did you find this website and what made you decide to ask this here? :)
pi_219625496
I think the best option for you is to find an employer/agency who also provides housing.
This one is one of the biggest agencies: https://www.ottoworkforce.eu/home/?lang=en-US

Hopefully it’s temporarily and you get better housing etc. For the money your former employer owed you; maybe a few of you get in contact with a union, like fnv https://www.fnv.nl/
