Dat is niet hoe Rusland oorlog voert. Een deel van hoe Rusland oorlog voert is terrorisme, het angst aanjagen van de bevolking zodat zij zich tegen de overheid keren om de oorlog zo snel mogelijk te stoppen. Het raken van ziekenhuizen, scholen en energie centrales vallen prima in dat plaatje.quote:

Een andere manier is "scorched earth". Als wij het niet kunnen hebben mogen jullie het ook niet hebben.
Je kan het zien met zo ongeveer elke grote stad die Rusland ingenomen heeft, of voor aan het vechten is. Daar is niks meer van over, die worden helemaal plat gebombardeerd.

Natuurlijk zijn dit Oekraïense cijfers. De Russische cijfers zullen meer 100 procent militaire doelwitten zijn. Maar het geeft wel een goede indicatie.

De Nederlandse journalist Stan Storimans, die in 2008 om het leven kwam in Georgië, was ook slachtoffer van de Russische strategie om burgerdoelen te bestoken. Wanneer je ontkent dat Rusland dit doelbewust en structureel doet, dan ben je dom of kwaadaardig. Combinatie van beiden valt niet uit te sluiten

Additionally, by the end of the summer, Ukraine was expected to receive a batch of Leopard 2A4 tanks, which were purchased by Denmark and the Netherlands.
The Ukrainian Armed Forces will also receive a batch of Viking all-terrain vehicles from the Netherlands.

He also confirmed Kyiv's readiness for further constructive dialogue, "in line with the traditionally warm and good-neighborly relations between the Slovak and Ukrainian peoples."
On Monday, September 9, PM Fico stated that there are military personnel in Ukraine allegedly connected to Nazi and fascist movements, but the international community does not react to it.
“The international community must recognize that troops who use Nazi names, who often behave like Nazis, cannot fight in Ukraine," he added, without specifying who he meant.

Francis also pointed out that each country makes its own decisions and expressed hope for the earliest possible end to the conflict.
He emphasized that the General Assembly has adopted "a number of decisive resolutions" calling on Russia to comply with the law and immediately withdraw its troops from Ukraine.
"I personally added the word 'immediately' to the resolution. This aggression by Russia is a gross violation of international law, and we cannot tolerate it," Francis stressed.
On April 3, 2024, the spokesperson for the UN Secretary-General, Stéphane Dujarric, condemned the attack by Ukrainian drones on targets within Russian territory.

And yes, as you can imagine, many Ukrainian Bayraktar TB2 drones were simply shot down. This is not some kind of military secret. The TB2 is an unmanned aircraft that is easily detectable by both radar and infrared sensors. The TB2 can be shot down fairly easily, just like other winged drones. Just as Ukrainians are destroying Russian drones, Russians are destroying Ukrainian drones. Ukraine doesn’t have as many Bayraktar TB2 drones as it used to, but that’s not the only reason why we don’t see them anymore.
Kyrylo Budanov, head of Ukraine’s Main Intelligence Directorate, recently explained that TB2 drones are still in use. Ukraine still has them. But now, due to the strengthening of Russian air defences, TB2s are more often used for reconnaissance and adjusting artillery fire. In those old spectacular videos, the TB2 was seen attacking columns of Russian armoured vehicles while flying directly above them. This is impossible now. The drone would simply be shot down by a Pantsir, Tor, or some other missile as soon as it appeared above the Russian assets.

With Ukraine's stockpile of R-27 missiles running low due to the prolonged war, this collaboration with the West ensures that Ukraine’s air force can continue to operate effectively.
Supply Nearly Depleted
Rather than integrating Western missiles into Soviet-era jets, experts found that producing updated versions of the R-27 would be a more efficient solution. These new missiles, enhanced with modern technology, will be fully compatible with Ukraine’s aging fleet, providing an essential lifeline in the fight against Russian forces.
In addition to the R-27, efforts are also underway to produce missiles for Ukraine’s S-300 air defense system.
The S-300, another Soviet-era weapon, remains one of Ukraine’s most important tools for defending against aerial threats. However, after more than two years of intense fighting, Ukraine’s supply of S-300 missiles is also nearing depletion.
Western factories will soon begin producing these missiles, potentially with upgrades that could improve their effectiveness.

The MHP company and the BGV Charitable Foundation provided aid for the border guards.
In particular, 42 Iveco EuroCargo trucks and one front-end loader were transferred to the State Border Guard Service of Ukraine.
Border guards also received drone components, whose purpose is not officially disclosed.
