Details: The lack of funding is due to a ban on additional military aid to Ukraine amid budget negotiations within the government coalition.

The source said that because the freeze on new aid was already in effect, the existing IRIS-T air defence system was recently unable to be funded. The manufacturer, Diehl Defence, was able to make it available immediately after a Russian missile attack on a children's hospital in Kyiv in July because another customer wanted to withdraw from the delivery in favour of Ukraine.

However, the money was not approved, against the wishes of Defence Minister Boris Pistorius. His ministry and Diehl did not want to comment on this.

FAS notes that due to the new restriction, the required additional military aid worth almost ¤4 billion cannot be granted this year, although the industry could provide it. Several sources in the federal government confirmed this.

The German Ministry of Defence did want to order military equipment for Ukraine for this amount this year, but the Chancellery and the Ministry of Finance are apparently against it. The Ministry of Defence's list also includes an air defence system that Diehl had proposed. Other major items include artillery ammunition, drones, maintenance costs and spare parts for already delivered German weapons such as tanks and howitzers. However, it is said that a small part of this is currently being financed by "leftover funds".

The expert believes that new orders up to 2028 are unlikely. Currently, Ukraine is still receiving supplies, but only under old contracts.

The presence of Western media covering the Ukrainian incursion into Russia has not gone unnoticed by Russian war correspondents and military bloggers. A prominent Russian war correspondent asked, "Yet again, CNN is running reports of American journalists at our Sudzha checkpoint. There are also journalists from DW and other Western channels. Will we kill them for trespassing with the Ukrainian Armed Forces or appeal to the UN to condemn this illegal journalistic activity?"

The Rybar channel raised a similar concern, questioning what the Russian side plans to do about foreign journalists "roaming the Sudzha region, occupied by Ukrainian forces". Rybar suggested that Ukrainian forces are using Western media as a "human shield." "This continues to tarnish Russia's reputation politically, yet no decisive action is being taken. While we remain paralyzed by fear, the other side seems to have lost all fear and openly mocks our bureaucratic inefficiencies," lamented the author.

Previously, Ukrainian and Italian networks have also published reports from Russian soil, prompting Moscow to lodge an official protest with the Italian authorities.

The pages included sections where visitors could fill in their personal contact information, similar to that of their legitimate counterparts.

"At the moment, as in the previous year, the German government plans to include a certain amount of aid to Ukraine in the draft budget. It is similar to the amount envisaged last year at this stage of the budget process. Last year, this amount increased at the parliamentary stage when the budget was passed in the autumn," Tykhyi stated.

Er ligt gewoon een asfalt weg tussen Ocheretine en Prohres, van Novoselivka naar Zhelanne en Mikhailivka hebben de Russen de E50 al bereikt.

Dit zijn geen erg goede wegen maar gezien de voortgang in dit gebied (77,4km2) sinds begin augustus, is het wel te verwachten dat ze de E50 snel onder controle zullen krijgen.
