Ukrainian drone attacks on oil refineries and energy infrastructure on Russian soil have ramped up since the beginning of the year. Kyiv began a campaign to hamper gasoline production, which fuels President Vladimir Putin's war economy.
At least 13 successful attacks have been carried out on Russian oil refineries during the conflict so far, targeting some of the largest in the country, according to Ukrainian military intelligence. At least 14 percent of Russian oil refinery capacity has been disrupted as a result of the attacks, the Pentagon's intelligence agency said this month.
The head of the Temryuk district, Fyodor Babenkov, said later on Friday that the fire had been put out, and that two oil depot employees at been injured.

A source of the Politico news outlet source also said that Washington had not allowed long-range strikes deep inside Russia with U.S. weapons, limiting its permission to the area near Kharkiv.
Germany Defense Minister Boris Pistorius said during a visit to Moldova on May 31 that Berlin's decision also applies to the area around Kharkiv, according to Bild journalist Julian Röpke.

"In addition, Sweden clearly confirmed its support for Ukraine on the way to membership in the EU and NATO," the press release said.
The president is also due to meet Finnish President Alexander Stubb, Danish Prime Minister Mette Frederiksen, Norwegian Prime Minister Jonas Gahr Stoere, and Icelandic Prime Minister Bjarni Benediktsson.
"Ukraine will sign three security agreements in one day, establishing predictable and long-term defense assistance and comprehensive support," Zelensky said before the signing of the agreement.
Sweden becomes the 13th country to sign such a deal, along with Belgium, Spain, the U.K., Germany, France, Denmark, Italy, Canada, the Netherlands, Finland, Portugal and Latvia.
The treaties are based on a pledge made by the Group of Seven (G7) countries last July and are designed to help Kyiv fend off Russian forces and deter future aggression.

Ik vind het eerlijk gezegd nogal naief dat men er zo lacherig over doet. Er komt een moment dat die kerel daad bij woord gaat voegen, dat hij vervolgens het complete wapenarsenaal van de NATO op zijn dak krijgt boeit hem verder niet zo.
Defensie gaat er al vanuit dat we binnen vijf jaar in een grootschalig conflict zitten en nee dat heeft defensie niet zelf verzonnen.
De Korea oorlog duurde 3 jaar.
De VS was 8 jaar betrokken in de Vietnam oorlog.
De Afghanistan oorlog van de USSR duurde 10 jaar.
Ik denk niet dat de Oekraïne oorlog gaat escalleren.
